If you can get command prompt access to the file system, make a copy of c:\windows\system32\ultiman.exe and copy cmd.exe to ultiman.exe. Kali should get you to the file system, but so can a Windows boot CD.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is a 2011 first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries, Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity. It is a remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved (2001), developed by Bungie. Publisher Microsoft announced Anniversary alongside Halo 4 at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo. 343 Industries, overseers of the Halo franchise, approached Saber Interactive to develop a remake of Halo for the anniversary. It is the first Halo game to include Kinect support.

After Microsoft acquired Bungie in 2000, Bungie developed the original Halo: Combat Evolved as a 2001 launch game for the Xbox. Bungie and Microsoft split in 2007, but the rights to Halo remained with the latter, which formed an internal division to oversee Halo franchise development.[15] 343 Industries, the internal division, approached Saber Interactive with a proposal to remake Combat Evolved for the game's tenth anniversary. Saber's Chief Operating Officer Andrey Iones recalled that the offer was "an opportunity we [could not] miss", as Saber had never before worked on a major game franchise and many team members were fans of Halo.[16] Saber developed concept art to form visual ideas for the remake and then flew to Seattle, Washington, to meet with 343 Industries.[16]

1. Option 1 did not work for me. Run command line "diskpart", "list volume", shows that the mac hfs+ partition was not mounted. While "select disk 0", then "list partition" will find presence of the partition.

2. Option 2 ext2fsd will run, but after rebooting windows 10, windows will run scanning and repairing drive C. Then, the drive D: is gone again.
Solution : Go to regedit, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager, Change the BootExecute string to "autocheck autochk /k:C *"

During the download of the 40th anniversary edition the servers went down before the download was complete. A couple of days later, I completed the download. Since that time I have not been able to run MSFS 2020. The program loads to the menu page but then screen goes blank and the program crashes.

If the question is relevant to all versions then the base windows-10 tag would be preferred.
