Hi,
TuxTrans loads the partition sector menu when I boot my Windows Vista PC. While this is presumably the normal and correct process, it causes issues with remote PC maintenance jobs that require reboots, so I'd like to uninstall.

How do I do this? Can't find anything in this Google group. Excuse me if I've missed it.

Thx for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi,

thanks for trying tuxtrans. Uninstalling tuxtrans is easy, just reformat the tuxtrans partition. Unfortunately, this will not solve your problem because every linux system installs the GRUB boot loader which allows to choose from installed operating systems. You will have to remove the GRUB2 loader: the simplest way to do this would be the brute force method, i.e. reformatting the whole drive and re-installing Windows Vista. Presumably, you may want to preserve your windows installation and in this case I do not know how to proceed without an specific internet research, such as "remove grub2 windows vista" or similar.

regards
Peter
