download fails

Good evening from Japan
I am trying to download the 64-Bit version of tuxtrans. MANY times already.
And I always get a transmission speed that would require something between 30 and 70 DAYS!!!
But after a few minutes the download is interrupted, saying "download failed".

I do have a fibreoptic connection that should be able to download the 2.5 GB in 30 minutes or less.

May I ask, what this is all about?

Hi!

You may want to use the mediafire links. It's much faster.

In an "unrelated" topic: I joined the files using HJSplit and used unebootbin to make a bootable USB.

It shows a boot menu but the message "invalid or corrupt kernel image" appears.

Any ideas on that?

I downloaded the 64 bit version and my laptop is compatible. Also the USB stick is FAT 32.

I did a test: downloaded all files from Mediafire, combined them with tuxcmd and started the iso image within virtualbox, there are some error messages while booting but in the end it starts with the live desktop allright.
Don't know where to look for an error.

You're right. I had to download all the files again. Somehow they were corrupted.
