I have a set of new i18n keys which will have translations in a couple of languages and I want to move all the new keys to a higher environment(Production).
I want to know the best possible way to do this migration.

As this has to be done on Production and there are a lot of keys, we want to do it on a lower environment and then migrate the keys to Production.
It would be helpful if I get some suggestions on best practices to move the i18n keys.

1.Best way to migrate the i18 folder via Package manager console.
2.Create/Install the i18 packages from Author to Author and Publisher to Publisher instance
e.g create i18 package in Dev Author and install the Package in UAT Author only (To avoid configuration conflicts between Author and Publisher)
3.Once the package is created and modify the filter mode of package to "merge" instead of "overwrite" (To avoid configuration overwrite in Production)

Pressing the left and right arrow keys isn't making the red timeline thingy move at all. Clicking and dragging it still works, but the audio is so stuttery it might as well be tv static. and the play button is just fine, but it's frustrating and not very efficient having to put every section of the audio on loop trying to pause at just the right moment. I checked the keyboard shortcuts. It seems like the , and . keys work to move forward and back frames but the audio doesn't scrub at all when I use them. The arrow keys were working just fine a minute ago when I made the file. I saved and closed it to go make lunch, (and didn't do anything else to it) and when I opened it again suddenly the arrow keys wouldn't work. And this isn't an issue with just the audio not scrubbing, the arrow keys aren't moving anything on the drawing layer either. Maybe the keys are jammed and the program is fine, but considering things were going perfect just an hour ago I doubt that's it. Sorry, I'm probably missing something really simple and obvious. I'm good at drawing but a little slow with all the computer stuff

unless you've defined the arrow keys to move the selected timeline frame, they won't do that. by default, they move the selected object (left and right) and the period and comma move the selected timeline frame. ie, edit your keyboard shortcuts.

thankyou was looking everywhere for this crazy to find it buried in a reply from 2 years ago rather than in Adobe documentation buy hey that's life I guess - you probably won't even read this but if you do have a good one

I am working on Illustrator on Mac 10.5.8 and I use a lot the arrow keys(page up,page down) with combination with shift, but suddenly they stop working, that happens only in illustrator,if i want to use them to scroll on a web page they work fine.

I just looked in Google for the answer to this too. I tried to nudge an object and nothing happened. Well my problem was in Preferences - General - Keyboard Increment had somehow been set to zero. I put in 1 px and it's back to normal now

Or if that is not working see if you create a new user account and log into that aaccount and see if the problem still exist if not then there is probably a conflict of somekind you will do best then to do a search on the forum or google for Arrow keys do not work in your version of Illustrator

Thank you so much your solution for arrow keys not working did the trick. The apple store meant well and they are usually awesome but misinformed me in one to one saying my computer did not have the capacity to make the arrow keys work. I tried the solutions suggested from several posts including command alt shift at opening of Illustrator to command P + R . None of those solutions worked. Your solution did. Thank you!

Hello. I have this same problem since my last update in Illustrator CC. Objects won't move anymore when using my arrow cursors. In my settings, it seems that all is ok, but it won't move. Does anybody know of any other setting i could check? In the other Adobe apps, i don't have this problem. My arrows are working in Indesign & Photshop, just not in illustrator.

I need help!! I'm trying to insert a adobe file into an existing adobe file and its giving me a error message. the message is DICTIONARY KEYS MUST BE DIRECT NAME OBJECTS. What does this mean and what should I do??? Help!!!

"Dictionary Keys must be direct name objects" is an error that indicates that you have messed up the content of your PDF. "Inserting a adobe file into an existing adobe file" what does that mean? Can you describe the use case and what you did in details, so that we can work with it?

Reasonably new to Acrobat Reader Pro. The right/left arrow keys on my keyboard used to default to control page up/page down. Now, however, when I open a pdf, the cursor appears in the document (as if to select text) and the arrow keys control the cursor. How do I get page up/page down to be the default role for the arrow keys?

I had the same problem one time. The solution is very simple, just go to Edit menu => accessibility=>configuration wizard=>choose "define all accessibility actions"=>click next=>and then uncheck the box "always show the selection cursor"=>then continue clicking on next and eventually click on finish. Now when you click outside the text area in the document the cursor will disappear and you can navigate pages again with the arrows.

I had the same problem. I tried many suggestions that I found on the web but nothing worked with my current Adobe version. Recently, I noticed completely by accident that I can move page by page with the space bar. To do this I do need to click on the hand tool (if not already selected) and click on the current page of the PDF document before this will work. Not sure if this will work for other versions or if this works in all different view types yet but it is something worth a try if you find you are not able to move page by page using the control and arrow keys in a particular PDF document.

Just a tip, you can select another option such as "highlight" or "add note" and it will remove the cursor from the pages. And if you highlight something on accident, ctrl+z works for almost always as a "backspace of action".

Had just downloaded the Adobe Digital Reader yesterday and had changed the settings for both that and the Adobe Acrobat Reader and was struggling with turning pages since then. Your solution was what solved it. So grateful that I actually logged in and added account details just so that I could express my gratitude.

For as long as I can remember, when I'm editing the size of an object by typing in the properties window, I've been able to move the width/height up/down by 0p1 with the arrow keys. If I press shift+arrow, it would then move by 1p0.

Suddenly, seemingly overnight, it's now moving by 1p0 with arrow keys and 12p0 with shift+arrow keys. I have no idea why or how to change it back. I've tried fussing with the keyboard increment settings, turning "snap to" off of everything, restarting both the app and my computer, but nothing is working.

Thanks for the idea! I did try altering that setting, and it seems to have no effect on using the arrow keys in the width/height/position fields, though it does work properly to nudge things on the artboards and workspace.

Shortcut keys provide an easier and quicker way to navigateand use Adobe Captivate Classic. They let you use keyboard key combinationsinstead of a mouse or program menu. The common shortcut keys arelisted in the table.

The followingtable lists the default shortcut keys used during recording. These shortcutsshould be used only after you start the recording process. The same keysfunction differently when you are editing a project.

To change keys, click once in one of the text boxes and,on the keyboard, press the key or key combination you want to use.For example, click inside the To Stop Recording text box and thenpress Shift+Alt+4. The key combination you entered now appears inthe To Stop Recording text box. You can use almost any key, includingthe Control, Alt, Shift+Control, and Shift+Alt keys. For example, you could change the stop recording key to Alt+R.

I was able to set up a hacky way to "override" the left/right arrow keys during desktop preview by assigning them both as "Speech/Playback" type actions, so they'll try to play audio instead of navigating slides/artboards.

The trick, however, is you have to enter in a spacebar blank inside the speech text field, so it will play nothing. If you forget to hit the spacebar (leaving a blank) inside the speech text field, it won't work.

Thanks Elaine for your feedback.
No, that's in sharing prototype that i talk. When i test my project on the fly (shortcut on mac cmd + return) on my computer. By the way, i didn't find the item "previewing" in the menus, just found it with the shortcut (old flash reflex).

Even if the object is selected, and even if I click "motion" in the "effect controls" panel, it doesn't work. It instead moves to the next edit (or sometimes the next video frame), which I don't use, and I find a bit annoying. Especially when I'm trying to move an object, and instead goes to a different point in the timeline.
