Got questions about SRAM groupsets? This comprehensive guide has all the answers about the different levels of SRAM groupsets for mountain, road, and gravel. Plus, you can browse the wide range of components we have available within the SRAM groupset hierarchy.

A groupset, sometimes called a group or gruppo, is a collection of bike parts designed by a manufacturer to work together to form the entirety of a bicycle's drivetrain and/or brake system. Usually this includes chainrings, cassettes, chains, derailleurs, shifters, brake calipers, and brake levers.

SRAM's offers various groupsets offer different levels of performance. You can purchase an entire groupset or you can just buy the individual component you need, but the group that part belongs to will tell you about the overall quality.

The X01 Eagle is the refined version of the already-tough GX Eagle groupset, making it the ultimate choice for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing. The X01 features carbon fiber crank arms and a shorter derailleur cage for additional ground clearance. The strong construction and increased durability will stand up to even the hardest-hitting trails.

This top-tier groupset shaves 32g off of the X01 and claims the title of the lightest groupset in the Eagle ecosystem. The featherweight and fast XX1 setup is specifically designed for cross-country racing where grams make a difference. The XX1 is less robust than the X01, but stands out as an ultralight groupset with blingy chain and cassette finishes (rainbow, gold, or copper).

Transform your existing system into the best electronic XC groupset on the market and stay within budget, too. Save weight and shift smoother with the AXS system for a podium-worthy performance every time.

Features two-piston brakes that can be more lightweight and affordable than their four-piston counterparts, depending on the model. Level brakes are great for general trail riding and for cross-country circuits where grams matter.

SRAM G2 brakes are the second generation of the former SRAM Guide range and feature impressive upgrades to a fan-favorite brake. The redesign strengthened the calipers, tightened tolerances, and introduced a more powerful organic pad compound.

The Rival eTap AXS upgrade kit is SRAM's most accessible way into electronic road shifting. Time and time again riders give glowing reviews about how they've been able to upgrade to perfect shifting without spending the extra money on a brand new group.

The Force eTap AXS upgrade kit is a cost-effective way to get the most out of your drivetrain and ride like the pros. This package offers the key features of the higher-spec Red eTap AXS, but keeps electronic shifting affordable.

SRAM Force brakes are even lighter and include titanium main pivot bolts as well as an indexed quick release lever. The rim model has skeletonized arms and a powerful return spring and the Force 1 groupset runs hydraulic disc brakes for all weather stopping control.

If you don't need a full groupset, you can still shop for the individual SRAM parts that make up the group. Some groups can be mixed and matched so you can invest in the parts that matter most to you.

As detailed below, the CSGrad4US Fellowship utilizes a two-phased process, comprising (i) part-time mentored preparation, followed by (ii) the fellowship itself, which constitutes three years of support for graduate study that leads to a research-based doctoral degree in a CISE discipline. This Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) invites applications annually which will result in decisions about acceptance into the mentoring program, where individuals will get support to apply to doctoral degree-granting programs in CISE disciplines for matriculation within two years of entering the mentoring program.

The fellowship funding will be provided to the institution of higher education where the CSGrad4US Fellows is enrolled. Details about the awards can be found in CSGrad4US Administrative Guide (NSF 23-136).

CSGrad4US Fellowship applicants are advised that, to eventually receive a fellowship, they must pursue graduate study in a doctoral degree-granting program in a CISE discipline at an accredited, non-profit institution of higher education having a campus located in the United States, its territories or possessions, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

NSF expects to select 70 individuals annually pursuant to this DCL. Upon enrollment in a doctoral degree-granting program in a CISE discipline by no later than two years after being accepted into the mentoring program, these individuals will become CSGrad4US Fellows. Each Phase 2 CSGrad4US Fellowship will be in the amount of $159,000, for three years of support during a five-year fellowship period. For each of the three years of support, the graduate degree-granting institution of higher education will receive a $37,000 stipend and $16,000 cost-of-education allowance for each Fellow who will use the support in a fellowship year. More details about how to receive the fellowship funding will be provided to successful CSGrad4US Fellowship applicants when they notify the mentoring program that they have been accepted into a doctoral degree-granting program.

Described in detail below are the eligibility requirements for the CSGrad4US Fellowship: (1) citizenship, (2) degree requirements, and (3) field of study / degree programs for proposed research. CSGrad4US Fellowship applicants are strongly advised to read the entire DCL carefully to ensure that they understand all the requirements. CSGrad4US Fellowship applicants must self-certify that they intend to pursue a research-based doctoral degree in an eligible field of study and that they meet all eligibility criteria.

The term "national" designates a native resident of a commonwealth or territory of the United States, such as American Samoa. It does not refer to a citizen of another country who has applied for United States citizenship and who has not received U.S. citizenship by the application deadline.

Individuals are not eligible to apply if they propose to enroll in a discipline outside of CISE. Individuals who are enrolled, or will enroll, in a graduate degree program while on a leave of absence from a professional degree program or professional degree-graduate degree program are ineligible for a CSGrad4US Fellowship.

To receive the CSGrad4US Fellowship, individuals must participate in the CSGrad4US Mentoring Program in the Fall of the year they applied. For more information about the mentoring program, please refer to the Mentoring Program webpage -wp/cs-grad4us/.

Only the information required in the application will be reviewed. No additional items or information will be accepted or reviewed. Do not provide links to web pages within the application. Images, if included, must be within the page limits. Review of the application and reference letter is based solely on the materials received by the annual application deadline.

Applications that are incomplete cannot be submitted and applications will not be accepted beyond the application due date and/or reference letter by the reference letter deadline will be deemed ineligible. CSGrad4US Fellowship applicants are advised to request reference letters and submit applications early to avoid unanticipated delays on the deadline dates.

The length of the two personal statements must together total no more than five (5) pages. By applying to CSGrad4US, applicants are certifying that the two statements in the application are their own original work. The statements must be written using the following guidelines:

Each personal statement must be uploaded to the ETAP system as a separate PDF file where indicated. Compliance with these guidelines will be checked. Applications that are not compliant with these format requirements will be returned without review.

CSGrad4US Fellowship applicants are required to have exactly one Letter of Reference, to be submitted through ETAP by the reference letter writer. While only one letter is required, CSGrad4US Fellowship applicants may request references from up to three reference letter writers in the system, in the event that one or two fail to provide letters.

I am requesting a reference letter in support of my application for an NSF Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Graduate Fellowship. If you are willing to provide a reference on my behalf, please submit your reference prior to the application deadline of May 31 [in current year]. Reference letter requirements for this Fellowship include:

Applications submitted in response to this DCL will be reviewed by disciplinary and interdisciplinary scientists and engineers and other professional graduate education experts. Reviewers will be selected by the cognizant NSF program directors for CSGrad4US Fellowships who are charged with oversight of the review process. Care will be taken to ensure that reviewers have no conflicts of interest with the applicants.

Each application will be reviewed independently in accordance with the NSF Merit Review Criteria using all available information in the completed application. In considering applications, reviewers are instructed to address the two Merit Review Criteria as approved by the National Science Board, Intellectual Merit and Broader Impacts. More information about the Merit Review Criteria is provided in Chapter III of the NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG).
