Good day fellow students,

Compliments of the new year....

I have a concern regarding the subject, since the marks were published late and some of us failed which doesn't make sense. If youre in the similar position or might know someone in class, then we need to get together and come-up with a plan to address this to TUT the sooner the better.

I'm available on 013 752 6748 or 082 438 5751.

Hi Nnana,

It’s a very unfortunate issue and you are not the only one. I know of a couple of students who have the same problem.

I missed the main exam and then I applied for a special exam. I wrote the re-exam and to my surprise I was the only one writing on the 2nd of December.

Some of the students who are in the same situation as you, are planning to apply for a special exam which is to be written sometime in January.

So my best advice is to apply for a special exam and then together you and others can take on the department regarding the issue.

Kind regards,

Thanks David, the results were published late after the supplementary exam was closed. Which one is better between special exam and remarking?

I think special exam is better. Chances are the marks are correct, but the publication of the marks were delayed.

Judging from what I heard, the main exam was a lil bit challenging. So you might find that the marks are correct.

So rather apply for a special exam, to be on the safe side.

Mr. Nyalungu; our lecture confirmed that the marks were downed by the moderator and he doesnt know why, since he marked our scripts himself. Guys this is serious and we can't allow to be discriminated. How come we qualified with high marks and fail the exam, whether challenging or not it's impossible.

I think we must launch complain about this since our lecturer (Mr Nyalungu) admitted/confirmed that our marks were downed by the moderator. He/she (Moderator) owe us an explaination.
