On behalf of Professor Dato’ Dr Hassan Said, Vice Chancellor and President of Taylor’s University, I would like to personally invite you to the Launching of Securities Commission’s InvestSmart Campaign, which will be officiated by our Guest of Honour, Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia at our Taylor’s Lakeside Campus this coming 19th June, Thursday.
You are receiving this email invitation as you have been specially identified by the University to represent your School as a Student Ambassador in attending this University-level Event, which will be held as follows:
Date: 19th June 2014, Thursday
Time: 9am – 12pm
Venue: LT 21 & 22 (the new state-of-the art Lecture Theaters in Taylor’s Lakeside Campus)
Objectives:
1. to promote and increase financial literacy among the youth
2. to support the government’s Economic Transformation Programme
3. to support Securities Commission’s commitment to the youth to educate them about smart investment
Below is the itinerary for your reference:
· 9.00 am Arrival of Invited Students and Guests
· 9.30 am Arrival of VIPs
· 9.45 am Welcome Speech by SC Chairman
· 10.00 am Launch of InvestSmart Campaign by YB Tuan Haji Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia
· 10.15 am Dialogue Session/Forum featuring YB Tuan Haji Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, Prof Dato’ Dr Hassan Said, Dato’ Ranjit Ajit Singh (SC Chairman), Mr Shankar Joyrama (young entrepreneur)
· 11.00 am Programme ends/Visit to interactive games (outside of LT 21 & 22) and Press Conference
· 12.00 pm Luncheon for Invited Students and Guests
We also welcome if you wish to share this invite with your team members or anyone else that you feel is relevant. We can reserve around 5-10 seats for your team members. Please do let us know the exact numbers.
We have also lined up many interesting interactive games for students and visitors to participate, including a special luncheon at University Square. There are also door gifts for each of the invited students, and many more. Your participation in this Event will be a positive step in developing yourself personally, building your professional network, whilst giving back to your alma mater.
