hello all.

I have a home turtl server. I use it as a single user.
I have access through psql to its database.

my problem is: i lost my credentials.
(forgot the email i used and it's password)
is there any sql magic that could:
1/ tell me what was the email i used
2/ reset its password

( for the love of all, please tell me there is :p )

J

I should add that the turtl server is *not* configured to send emails

a few hours of googline later:

since i did not know the schema and am not versatile in sql, i used a GUI to browse tha database. I found my username in the table named "user" (duh!) ; from there i remembered my password.

for those in need : http://www.squirrelsql.org/ this is where i downloaded a java GUI sql browser.
set it up to use jdbc.postgresql point it to your server, and browse away.
right next to the user sits the password in an encrypted form so, if someone knows how to reset it from within sql, for future ref, that'd be nice.

of course rembering your password is the way to go.

.. and your login :p
