Speed Dial is an extension to help you browse your favorite sites much faster.On any page, please right-click and then select Add to Speed Dial. You can also right-click on the toolbar button and then click on the add to speed dial from there. The website will be added to the speed dial page with a screenshot included. To open the speed dial, click on the toolbar icon. Within the speed dial UI, there is a settings sidebar that lets you adjust some aesthetic options. This extension includes several background images (open sidebar to change). Please note that all the options are auto-saved to the memory.Note 1: when you first install the extension, a few websites are added to the speed dial automatically from your history (most visited websites). These websites do not have any screenshots included.Note 2: all cells within the speed dial UI are drag-able. Simply drag and drop the cell to your desired location; all cells will be reordered automatically and saved to the memory.Note 3: The speed dial add-on, does NOT change the look of the new tab in your browser. It just adds a stand-alone page rendered with Speed Dial UI.Note 4: use the keyboard shortcut (Alt + Shift + A) to add desired pages to the speed dial.Note 5: use the toolbar button's context menu item to add the current tab or, all tabs, to the speed dial automatically. I know this has been posted alot around here. But this is about the new google update after I tried to install google chrome on a new laptop. Google Chrome Version 29.0.1547.76 m has ruined the speed dial look I once had. It now shows a search input box and a smaller set of speed dials below it. (see image please)
As far as I can tell, both Chrome and Firefox Speed-dial thumbnails are only populated when you visit a page - i.e. they're taken from the normal browsing context, with normal headers, rather than being independently queries in their own right.
Sometimes when i run ccleaner my google chrome browser stop open the FVD Chrome Speed dial extension displaying a blank screen with the default page, so I need re-download the extension after clean-up my pc with ccleaner.
In the past I installed the FVD speed dial extensions, however after having experienced too many browser crashes, I decided to remove it. The problem is that my homepage is stuck on chrome://fvd.speeddial/content/fvd_about_blank.html
I had to install a new Network Adapter on my PC. After I did that and restarted, I opened my Chrome Browser and my screen setup was there but all the boxes are empty. I tried going to settings and using my latest saved dials on the server but nothing happened. I'm still sitting with empty boxes, even though when I log into my everhelper account the dials are all showing there. How do I get them back on my browser?
I want to clarify ... I just discovered that the dial information is probably there even though the dial boxes are blank. I know exactly where my amazon.com dial is because I use it so often, so I clicked on it and it took me to my sign-in. So then I tried Walmart's and the same thing. The information is all there but the boxes are all empty.
Install from google chrome extension. Try login and sync. Sync does work.
Install from firefox extension and every time it offers to take a tour and doesn't remember the login. Although the synchronisation goes through.
I got google chrome synced up with 3 PCS and 2 android devices. I also get this, I keep removing it, but it keeps coming back. It only shows up on the PC devices and not the android devices. Please any help would be useful.
Hello, I am not able to get rid of mysearchdial pup. I have had this for several days and I keep doing quarantine and delete but it seems to come back every time I open Chrome. Will uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it help? I have done a reset on the chrome settings , but there are still 2 files that have this pup. How can I get rid of this?
Were you able to get rid of mysearchdial pup yet? I got rid of one of the two, but I still have one that won't go away. For the one that I finally got rid of, I changed a few settings in chrome and then ran adwcleaner. So I don't know which of these two things that I did that got rid of it.
The classic Opera web browser was cool and practical in many ways, and its Speed Dial and the built-in mail feature were (are) fan-favorites. Toolbar Dial is an add-on for Firefox and Chromium based browsers that offers a similar speed dial.
Install the add-on, open a new tab and you will see large dials, one for each of your bookmark folders and websites that . The add-on doesn't load the favicon or a preview of the web-page, it just places the dial with a text inside it. This text isn't customizable, it is taken from the domain name which it displays in a large font size, and the domain extension (COM, NET, etc) in a smaller font, below the name. for e.g. ghacks.NET is displayed as ghacks net. A label is displayed below every dial, and you can customize it. It uses the name that you used for the bookmark.
How to organize the speed-dial? Use the Bookmarks settings in Firefox. You know what to do, hit Ctrl + B. Create new folders to organize your bookmarks. Re-arrange the folders manually (or sort it by name) using the sidebar and the order will be reflected in Toolbar Dial.
If you ever want to get your regular new tab page back, just head to chrome://extensions in Chrome, edge://extensions in Edge, or about:addons in Firefox. From here you can remove or disable any of the above extensions, which should automatically restore the default one. But why would you want to do that?

We've covered this extension before, but since then they've added the custom logos, which can be added by simply right-clicking on any tile and either choosing from a list of pre-defined logos or adding a URL to your own. I would love to use an interactive new tab page, but only if it offers equal or better performance than about:blank. If speed-dial takes more time than say clicking on a bookmark then it could be detrimental to my user experience.
The speed dial was the reason why I stuck with Opera for so long. It was so much more efficient than the blank, unused space of other browsers. In most of the cases I open a new tab to visit a bookmarked website so it makes sense to have bookmarks on that white space.
