Hi all,

I wanted to give you a quick update on this situation. The website and the wiki, both were hosted on community servers belonging to project Canaima and seems like they shut them down without noticing me (probably because the project has been inactive for far too long).

Luckily, I had an old WordPress backup (database and theme) and, with the valuable help of Richzendy, we're trying to put the site back online using only static content (Github pages). Richy ported all the posts from WordPress to markdown and set up a jekyll page with this information. I'm preparing the repo and I'll do a couple of visual adjustments before publishing, but it should be ready very soon. The sad part is that I don't have a backup for the dev wiki, but I'll try to get all the info from web.archive.org and put it in the same repo. If you feel like you want to contribute to the project, just let me know and I'll give you something to do.

I want to publicly thank Richzendy for pushing and helping me to save all this content and restore it, at least for historical purposes.

I'll keep you updated.

Regards, I was asking the old sysadmin of the CNTI, to see if they helped me to get the machines where I was hosted Turpial, I hoped that the information still exists and put me in contact with those who now have the servers, these will give me Answer on Monday. I hope they are positive, to send them the backups and thus to be able to rescue what it is necessary.

Muchas veces dilemas en las tecnologías se resuelven sin tecnología, solo se necesita sentido común y un buen uso de Google.

Finally, http://turpial.org.ve/ is up & running again. The website still needs some work but I haven't had time to check all the missing parts and generate a list of tasks. I should be working on that in the coming days and, once I get it, I'll post it here in case you want to help with some of the chores.
