i am considering paying for a subscription but the lack of a feature to assign tasks to dummy avatars is holding me back. Half of the tasks are handled by external collaborators. it is only productive for me to use the tool if i can keep track of it in this manner.

I am a new user of Allegro PCB editor of OrCAD 16.2. I want to modify an existed PCB design (*.brd). I add a set of new connect pins and want to assign nets to that pins (dummy nets). Question is I do not know how to do it.

First I use "place manual" and choose a "HDR 1x32" from "package symbols". But all pins are "dummy net", I want to asign nets to these new pins. Then I can route it. Problem is I do not know how to assign nets to them.

However. Dependencies of the type "Dummy" is created all the time (e.g. independent copy geometry, merge/inheritance, mirror and so on). Is there any why to use e.g. ModelCHECK or similar to always brake dummy dependencies? If not. Would it be possible to use JLink to create these functionality?

Purpoce of dummy dependency is to secure the user from adding same-name but completely different model to server. It is dummy since it is currently inactive (like for independent copygeom), but it is there since it can turn active at any moment (like setting copygeom back to Dependent). If by that moment completely different - by similarly named - model is checked into PDM system (this is what dummy dep prevents) results of regeneration of such Copygeom might be more than unexpected.

I'm grateful for the explanation of the purpose. The thing is doe, that even if I have brake a dummy dependency you can make a feature (copy geom) dependent again and the dependency is restored in the reference viewer - not as dummy.

Now what you said is correct - until Creo3 "break dependency" was a reversible action for Copygeom feature. Its no longer the case from Creo3, dependency is broken irreversible. Same for other types of dummy - their break is (and was) mostly irreversible.

i am working on a dataset that has more than half of the variables as categorical i need to convert those columns into numerical, and there are couple of ordinal variables in that, could you please confirm me can we perform dummy encoding in KNIME? if so then how to do that and which node is used? if not then please suggest alternate solution?

At first, I was confused, because the above example says to import DummyAuthenticator, then assign it - while the gihub page GitHub - jupyterhub/dummyauthenticator: A Dummy JupyterHub Authenticator to make testing easy says:

I am trying to simulate my mobile robot with a 5DOF arm. I came across the IKFast tutorial which mentions that I need a dummy link in my URDF. However, I am confused as to how to introduce this dummy link in my URDF. Some examples use a fixed joint between the world link and the robot chassis. If I create a dummy link and and a fixed joint to my robot chassis, will it be mobile? Should I use a planar joint? Here, base_link is my chassis (gray colored in the image below).

Hi, to constrain the robot motion I am adding joint between the base of the robot and world. But as I need 3 such joints for 3 Dof robot, I am trying to add dummy_link.world>dummy_link(revolute joint)>base_link(prismatic joint) But then I get no error in terminal but model doesn't appears in gazebo

Now, I am struggling to understand what is [ virtual_sites1 ] entry is for. In my mind, it was something to deal with the massless dummy? In the manual Virtual sites it is linked to type 1 interaction, but no such interaction is shown on the Fig 34 in the Virtual interaction sites. It also seems to involve 2 atoms and falls under intramolecular interactions, Table 14

I would think any virtual site has to have one or more parent/s (constructing atoms). Not sure if virtual sites can be single particles, do not think so. Why not use an actual dummy atom with some mass, and/or position restraints?

Results: The adjusted odds ratio for SIDS associated with using a dummy during the last sleep was 0.08 (95% confidence interval 0.03 to 0.21). Use was associated with a reduction in risk in every category of sociodemographic characteristics and risk factors examined. The reduced risk associated with use seemed to be greater with adverse sleep conditions (such as sleeping prone or on side and sleeping with a mother who smoked), although the observed interactions were not significant. In addition, use of a dummy may reduce the impact of other risk factors for SIDS, especially those related to adverse sleep environment. For example, infants who did not use a dummy and slept prone or on their sides (v on their back) had an increased risk of SIDS (2.61, 1.56 to 4.38). In infants who used dummies, there was no increased risk associated with sleeping position (0.66, 0.12 to 3.59). While cosleeping with a mother who smoked was also associated with increased risk of SIDS among infants who did not use a dummy (4.5, 1.3 to 15.1), there was no such association among those who did (1.1, 0.1 to 13.4).

When a link is surfacing due to an exact title mismatch, and one of the titles is not in the knowledge base at all, adding a title to a "dummy" collection is the best option for fixing this issue at this time. In these cases, putting better data in the records in WCKB and/or in the WorldCat records will not help solve the problem because only one of the titles currently has KB data to contribute. The system can't find any matching data for the Discovery record among your holdings in the knowledge base except for that exact title.

This is what a "dummy" collection changes. Adding the Discovery title without a link and with its OCLC number and/or standard number to the WCKB, in a local collection exclusively for this purpose, prevents the system from getting to a title match. It matches on the KB entry with that OCLC number first, and this entry will not have a link to display.

Currently, dummy collections don't meet the guidelines for adding new collections to the cooperative. If your library is interested in submitting a dummy collection to the cooperative, please contact us.
