UsingSims 4 cheats offers you a risk-free shortcut to the high life - free money, max skills, instant happiness and friendships, the ability to turn everyone into a plant... You name it!
Using cheats in The Sims 4 might spoil some of the fun of having to build up to having a best friend relationship or scrimping and saving for that dream home, but it also allows you to be as creative as you like without having to worry about the consequences. Especially when it comes to building with no regulations.
Not only is it useful for experimenting and letting off some steam, but cheating in The Sims 4 cheats also allows you to stop Sims and objects from becoming stuck or trapped, so there's a practical use to them, too.
While the PC and Mac versions of the Sims 4 accept all the cheats listed in this guide, on console, not all the codes will work. In addition to this, by using cheats on a console, you will disable Achievements and Trophies for that save, so be careful.
It is also important to note, many cheats require you to enter testingcheats true beforehand. Doing so will reveal the command 'Cheats are enabled', which signifies this is active. Not all Sims 4 cheats need this enabled, but since so many do, it's worth getting into the habit of setting it active at the start of any sessions so you aren't caught out.
To enter cheats on PC, press Ctrl + Shift + C together to bring up the Cheat Console and enter the cheat of your choice, press the Enter Key, and the Sims 4 cheat will come into effect.
To enter cheats on Mac, press Command + Shif + C together to bring up the Cheat Console and enter the cheat of your choice, press the Enter Key, and the Sims 4 cheat will come into effect.
As well as instant effect The Sims 4 cheat codes like the above, it's possible to enter a 'testing' mode that allows you to hold down the Shift key and click on Sims and objects to change their states.
First, enter testingcheats true. Once enabled, you can then perform Shift-Click cheats. On PC and Mac you do this by holding Shift and clicking an object, on PlayStation you do this by holding Circle and then pressing X, and on Xbox, you do this by holding B and pressing A. You can then perform the following:
With these cheat codes, players are able to transform into these occult Sims, as well as remove them. This section focuses on vampires and werewolves, but it also works for both Alien and Mermaid Sims, as well.
As well as instant effect The Sims 4 cheat codes like the above, you can Shift-click on an area and spawn animals too. Once you've entered testingcheats true, you be able to perform Shift-Click cheats. On PC and Mac you do this by holding Shift and clicking an object, on PlayStation you do this by holding Circle and then pressing X, and on Xbox, you do this by holding B and pressing A. There are a lot of skills available in The Sims 4. So many, in fact, that it's possible to not learn them all. If you are aiming to have the best Sim though, you may try to have them learn every skill out there. With a relatively short lifespan, cheats can help your Sim become the best.
In this guide, we are going to cover all skill-related cheats out there. In general, you can use these cheats to increase a Sim's skill to a desired level; you can even max out the skill, having them become an immediate pro.
Updated July 12, 2024 by Jacqueline Zalace: Cheats are an essential part of The Sims 4, making many aspects of the game go by a bit smoother. We've updated this guide with an extra cheat for the Gemology skill, as well as information on how to raise every skill at the exact same time. Now, you can learn how to cheat skills in no time!
If you've used cheats, then you are familiar with how to enable them. If not, we will go through the steps real quick. First, press the following buttons depending on your console.
Doing this will open a white box, where you will need to type in "testingcheats true". A message should appear, saying that cheats are enabled; when this pops up, you are good to go!
Let's use the Video Game skill as an example. If you wanted to boost your Sim's gaming skills to level ten, you would enter the following cheat. Immediately after using this, the skill will become level ten, and you will receive all associated rewards.
Not all skill names are simple. Additionally, there are different types of skills, like major and minor. Below, you can find the cheat to boost each skill to its maximum level, separated by type.
These skills don't fit into the major category, and look a bit different from them. Additionally, some of these skills go above or below ten levels, so you will need to alter the number used.
The possibilities are almost endless in The Sims 4 for how players want their Sims to live. They can experience unique jobs, life events, and relationships while building their Sims' lifestyles and personalities
Skills are essential for Sim's hobbies, jobs, goals, and certain storytelling elements. While Skills can be increased through gameplay in The Sims 4, players can also use cheats and mods to speed up the process. This guide has all the Skill cheats available in every Sims 4 DLC pack.
Updated on July 26, 2024, by Ashely Claudino: Cheats are one of the most useful features in The Sims 4, especially skill cheats. As Sims level up, it takes longer and longer to reach the next level, and sometimes gamers just don't want to waste hours working on a skill so they can master it. The Lovestruck expansion pack introduced the Romance Skill to The Sims 4, and this guide now includes the cheat that fans have to input to instantly reach Level 10.
Increasing Skills is an important aspect of The Sims 4 for many reasons. Sims with high skills sometimes get unique social interactions and have more options for higher-paying jobs. Alternatively, some Skills are related to crafting, so they can make valuable paintings, songs, and books to sell.
Learning Skills takes time and practice if Sims want to max them out. While certain emotions, lot traits, or potions can boost their Skill progression, it can still take several days of nonstop work to increase Skills. Luckily, players have a complete set of cheats dedicated to setting their Skill level.
Skills are put into a few categories: Major, Minor, Child, and Toddler. Major and Minor Skills can be learned by Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders. Once Children max out their Child Skills, they gain access to certain Major and Minor ones.
Major Skills have ten levels, and Minor and Toddler Skills have five, except for the Potty Skill, which maxes out at level 3. Doing activities and using objects related to the Skills will build them up, but players don't have to grind it out if they don't want to with cheats.
Most of the Skill cheat codes follow a formula of stats.set_skill_level (Skill Type)_(Skill Name) X, with X being the desired level, but there are some variations. See below for a complete list of all the Skill cheat codes in Sims 4:
Sometimes, TS4 skill caps can limit your exploration of your sims' full potential, whether it's in hobbies, everyday tasks, or work. In this article, we've compiled all skill cheats from every game pack, allowing you to easily level them up or down based on your gameplay and storytelling needs.
If you're reading this article, you probably already know what Sims skills are. However, it's important to note that The Sims 4 has four types of skills - Major, Minor (depending on whether they have a level 5 or 10 cap), and skills for Children and Toddlers (which become unavailable once your sim ages up but transform into other skills).
Using cheats in TS4 is easy. Simmers have been doing it ever since the game first came out, so there's nothing to worry about, as cheats won't bug your game, and they're not against EA's policy. Follow these 3 easy steps:

Thankfully, the Sims Studio left in some development cheats that let us manually adjust Skills to any level we desire. This page is for handy reference to avoid you having to go through our massive Cheats page for the info you need. Here are the console commands you need to raise and/or lower Skills. Each cheat lets you select the level you want your Sim to have. If you want to see each level-up notification, you can do it by raising the skill level one at a time - 5, 6, 7 etc. Otherwise, we've got links to the skill guides here so that you can see what unlocks with each level and get information on using the abilities you'll be getting.
Opening the Console
Type Control + Shift + C (Mac users make sure you're actually using control and not command). Type testingcheats on to allow the use of advanced cheats. A white box will appear at the top of the screen where you can type in the following commands. Replace X with the level you want to set the Sim at. Remember that a select few skills may cap at level 5 as more Expansions are released.
Note the space between stats.set_skill_level and major_skill x. If you want to max all skills, I've typed all of these out so that you can copy/paste them in-game, replace the x with the skill level (10 in most cases) and master all skills fairly quickly.
