ExamSoftassessment solutions work for a variety of industries and programs. In addition to higher ed, we help businesses, organisations, and government entities with certification and licensure exams.
Being a relatively new school with plans for growth, Arizona College saw the need for a tool that allowed for collaboration across geographically distributed campuses. It also wanted to standardize student evaluations, ensuring more uniformity across its programs. With ExamSoft, AC could raise the bar on testing and create higher quality exams.
Note 2: Applicants for the Examination may initiate and complete the certification process with ExamSoft following receipt of their admittance tickets. Admittance tickets are forwarded to applicants after the State Bars Office of Admissions has determined they are eligible to take the examination.
Note 3: Even if you have downloaded SofTest for a previous Bar Examination, you must log in, download and register SofTest again. Under the "Exam Takers" section, log in with your Applicant ID and Password. Please use your File number followed with the Letter "F" as your Applicant ID and your date of birth (mmddyyyy) for the Password.
Note 4: Installing SofTest and successfully certifying your computer means that you are ELIGIBLE to use your laptop for the Examination under the guidelines set forth by the Admissions department. Applicants planning to use their laptop for the examination must have their laptop certified. If your laptop or the software is not operational on the day of the examination, you will have to handwrite the examination.
Temple Law uses ExamSoft to administer Take Home exams online. Students access their Take Home exams through the ExamSoft website, NOT through Examplify (please note Examplify is for In-Class Exams only). Unlike Examplify for In-Class exams, using ExamSoft for Take Home Exams will not block students from accessing other parts of their computers, the internet, Canvas, etc. while working on a Take Home Exam. It will also not block students from taking an In-Class exam during the time period when they have downloaded a Take Home exam.
STUDENTS CAN ONLY UPLOAD ONE ANSWER FILE FOR AN EXAM. Thus, if the exam has more than one question, be sure to put the answers to all questions in one document and upload that document as a single PDF.
If you have problems downloading your take home exam questions or uploading your answers, please IMMEDIATELY send an email message explaining your problem in detail to
lawe...@temple.edu. Do not contact your professors.
Because it is impossible to completely eliminate the risk of computer failure during an exam, please be aware that students who choose to use computers to take exams assume the risk of technology problems and all resulting consequences. The use of ExamSoft is an option and is not required.
Detroit Mercy Law has launched ExamSoft, a new exam-taking software, in Fall 2022. Students must use the ExamSoft software to take exams. The software is provided by the Law School at no additional cost to students, but students are responsible for downloading the software to their personal devices. ExamSoft provides a secure testing platform to ensure exam integrity and maintain academic honesty. Students must download and test the software before exams begin and must download each exam before entering the exam room
By policy, ExamSoft only supports the three most recent versions of Windows and Mac OS. This maximizes application performance and exam integrity by ensuring that users are on the more up-to-date OS versions.
Mock exams are available to test the software and can be accessed by students at any time (and as many times as desired) to familiarize yourself with the features of the software. The mock exam provides students with time to learn about Examplify and its features as well as get comfortable using it before class assessments. The mock exam does not have any legal questions on it. Instead, students can walk through the software features and learn how those features can be used during exams.
When students take exams using Examplify, there are options available that could block the internet only, block internet and access to files, or allow full access to their device. Professors will determine those settings ahead of the exam.
A secure exam prevents you from running any program during the exam or being able to access the internet. A non-secure exam allows you to access information stored on your hard drive, run other programs, and access the internet during the assessment. A non-secure, blocked internet (NSBI) exam allows you to access files and programs on your device, but you cannot access the internet. An NSBI exam would be used for an open-book and/or open-note exam where you can use your materials, but not the internet during your exam.
The Examplify timer continues to run during breaks. Extra time is not provided when a student leaves the exam room during an exam.
Ending the Examination
When the proctor announces that the examination is over, all writing/typing must stop even if the student is mid-sentence. Examplify software will prevent you from continuing to type. If you type until the end of time, the software will automatically submit your exam.
Any materials passed out to students must be returned to the proctor before leaving the exam room. This includes scrap paper, printed exams, or any material designated for collection. Students who fail to turn in any of these documents may be investigated under the Honor Code.
Students should not have any discussion while in the exam room. Students who have been released by the proctor should leave the room quietly and should keep all conversation at a low volume until confirming no other exam is being administered nearby. Ordinarily, students should not have any discussions until reaching the first-floor common areas (such as the cafeteria or atrium), as it can be extremely disturbing to others taking exams at the same time.

Around the beginning of each exam registration period, the Registrar's office will send out a Final Examination Chart via email, which will indicate whether an exam is using Examplify or not. This chart is also available on the Registrar's Stetson Connect page.
Using Firefox or Chrome, visit the Stetson University College of Law ExamSoft page, and enter your Exam Taker ID (your 800#) and unique ExamSoft user password to login. These credentials would have been emailed to you around the beginning of the ExamSoft registration period.
Launch Examplify, and confirm that you downloaded your current semester's exams by verifying the exams listed on the left side of the Examplify window. You may also select Exam History from the Home Menu. This will take you to your download and upload history for Examplify. Verify that you downloaded your current semester's exams by checking the download date listed next to your exam(s).
Since final exam templates are not available in Examplify during midterm exam registration, you MUST re-launch Examplify while connected to the internet to obtain your final exam templates every semester.
Mock Exams allow you to verify that your laptop is compatible and configured properly for use with Examplify. By taking a Mock Exam, you also have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the software features and functionality before taking your exams. For additional information, please visit this article: Examplify: Take a Mock Exam
Additionally, if you have an exam that will be using Exam ID and Exam Monitor, we ask that you take the Mock Exam that utilizes Exam ID, so you may set your baseline photo and ensure your camera is working.
When you launch Examplify, enter your 800# and unique ExamSoft user password to log in; this password uses your initials and the last six digits of your 800#. Please note that your unique ExamSoft user password will never be used to begin an exam.
If you are taking a scheduled exam on campus, you will be provided with your exam password in the exam room. Should you have difficulty with the password, please raise your hand, and the I.T staff member in the room will assist you. Passwords are case-sensitive.
If you are taking a remote exam, the Registrar's office will send an email containing the exam password and instructions a few moments before the remote exam is set to begin. For example, if your exam begins at 10 a.m., you should receive the email by 9:55 a.m.
When you are taking an exam, you may open the Exam Controls drop-down menu, and select Suspend Exam. This will allow you to suspend the exam for a time, and pick up where you left off later. Please, be careful not to click the Exit/Save option instead, as this will upload your exam file (in the event that your exam is uploaded in error, please contact [email protected] for assistance.)
You may be required to enter a resume code; this would have been provided by the Registrar's office via email prior to the exam.
