Hello,

Whenever I try to run turnserver I get the error: Bad configuration format: redis-userdb.

I've installed turnserver 4.5.0.3 on aws-linux machine; I installed redis-server and redis-cli on the machine. I specified redis as my db in the config file:

redis-userdb="ip=127.0.0.1 dbname=0 password=turn port=6379 connect_timeout=60"

When I run turnserver I get the error: Bad configuration format: redis-userdb. Here's the full output:

You did not compile the Turn server with redis support. See the server output: "redis is not supported".

Thanks Oleg,

I retried installing everything from scratch and when I try to run turnserver I'm still getting the error:

Bad configuration format: redis-userdb

and also the notification:

0: Redis is not supported

There's no hiredis package available for amazon linux so, following the INSTALL instructions, I manually installed redis-server and redis-cli prior to compiling turn. Both redis-server and redis-cli are located in /usr/local/bin. Do you think there was a step I missed?

Thanks

You have to install the development packages to compile it.
