Hello,

I would like to setup coturn server on an EC2 instance to act as STUN and TURN server.

After reading that text file I was not able to understand how to change the default "Realm". I unfortunately am not even able to clearly understand the concept of "Realm". Is it the case that if a realm of xyz.com is configured with coturn, requests from all other domains will be rejected? Does this help in dealing with a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack that may be directed at this coturn server?

I also did not understand how coturn implements STUN. Does installing coturn create a STUN server that listens on external-ip:3478 by default?

I then found https://code.google.com/p/coturn/wiki/CoturnConfig and read "It is possible to set up a TURN server using a cloud service like AWS, but that is beyond the scope of these instructions."

So I am hoping that there is similar instruction to the above mentioned wiki for setting up coturn on AWS and very importantly, with instructions to use STUN protocol. If there is a document of this kind please point me to it.

If it doesn't yet exist I request you to create it. I would greatly appreciate your help and answers.

Best
Sam

Look at the front page of the project and check the external links.
There is ton of useful information there, including AWS STUN/TURN
setup.

I unfortunately never managed to get this to work. I would still like to know of an easy to follow instruction on how to install and configure the COTURN server on AWS EC2 or GCP
