"gdebi error, file not found: coturn*.deb"-failed to install coturn on ubuntu 14.04

Steps:

Dowload :http://http.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/coturn/coturn_4.2.1.2.orig.tar.gz

then 

 $ tar xvfz turnserver-<...>.tar.gz

 

Read the INSTALl file:

 $ cat INSTALL

 

Install the *.deb file:

  $ sudo apt-get update

  $ sudo apt-get install gdebi-core

  $ sudo gdebi coturn*.deb

But it will show error "gdebi error, file not found: coturn*.deb"

I can hardly find where to find the coturn*.deb

Does anyone know how to fix it ?

Hello,

Try these


apt-get install dpkg-dev

apt-get source coturn

or get the latest from ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/c/coturn/

cd coturn-4.5.0.3 /or replace 4.5.0.3 with your version/
dpkg-buildpackage

And you will have the local compiled deb image on the top directory

ls ../cotrun*.deb

after it try

  $ sudo apt-get update

  $ sudo apt-get install gdebi-core

  $ sudo gdebi coturn*.deb
