What's the COVID-19 Crisis Response Plan B?

Below are a number of important questions some three weeks after the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) was declared a Worldwide Pandemic:

1.       Would the Governor, Premier, and Minister of Health hereafter known as the Crisis Leader Team (CLT) be pleased to say what is the current level of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) personnel presently available in the TCI and what are the plans to increase them in the short to medium term should there be a surge in COVID-19 cases?

2.       Would the CLT be pleased to give an update on the process of bolstering the Hospital and Healthcare personnel by sourcing additional ICU personnel within the region i.e. Cuba, or internationally i.e. the UK? (N.B. All inbound personnel will need to be quarantined for 14 days before they can be utilized)

3.       Would the CLT be pleased to say if an assessment has taken place as to the specific healthcare personnel needs should there be a surge in COVID cases in the TCI?

4.        Would the CLT be pleased to say what are the plans for utilizing the existing Hospital space and/or the identification and retrofitting of an alternative location (example Old Myrtle Rigby Clinic) to continue the current level of healthcare functioning and to deal with additional COVID-19 related patients?

5.       Would the CLT be pleased to say if we have the personnel, space, and infrastructure to utilize additional ventilators should they become available to us here in the TCI?

6.       Would the CLT be pleased to say if Interhealth Canada has been engaged to renegotiate portions of the Hospital Project Agreement to transition from a High Dependency Unit (HDU) facility to a high functioning ICU patient care facility? (N.B. Presently a majority of patients needing ICU care were flown overseas)

7.  Would the CLT be pleased to say how many people have been trained in the conducting of COVID-19 testing once the testing kits are procured for the TCI? 

8.   Would the CLT to be pleased to say how many testing kits are to be procured and how long will it take to for them arrive in the TCI?
