Archival Landscapes is a virtual seminar series of the International Archival Affairs Section of the Society of
American Archivists. In each seminar, an international guest speaker
introduces participants to the issues and advancements in their local context, describing
the history, operating environment and unique aspects of archival practice in
their country.

About Dr. Vlatka Lemic: Dr. Lemic has worked in the Croatian State Archives in Zagreb since 1998. She first held the position of Head, Department for Information and Communication and Registry, Development and Documentation Service and has since served as Assistant Director and now as Director. She was a member of the CALIMERA (Cultural Applications Local Institutions Mediating Electronic Resource Access) Support Group for Croatia and is one of Digital Preservation Europe’s project coordinators for Croatia.
Since 2007, she has led the project of informatization of Croatian archival service as its coordinator of development and implementation of the ARHiNET archival information system. During her professional career, she has participated and lectured at many and various professional meetings and conferences in Croatia and beyond. She has published more than 30 works in Croatian and other foreign publications.
Since 2019, Dr. Lemic also has served, and is still serving, as the Head of University Archives at the University of Zagreb.
