Why do I constantly lose several armies (up to 12!!!) whenever I go up against a single army? It would be nice if somehow we could see what the rolls are.  I get the feeling that single armies are programed to always roll a 6, except when they're mine.

You can see the dice rolls. After clicking the attack button look at the status bar at the very bottom of the window. The rolls will be in brackets preceded by an A for attacker and a D for defender.

Now that I can see the dice rolls I am more frustrated than ever. Is this game programed so humans rarely roll above a 4 and computers rolls are rarely below that number?  Sometimes I startoff losing my all 18 armies against a 2 army defender.

The rolls are as random as possible on a computer.
As far as I have played this game, I hardly ever experienced any unfair behaviour of the rolls.

The problem is not with the randomness of the dice. The problem is with your poor understanding of randomness. If you play the game long enough you will see every possible battle outcome. Randomness means that if it can happen it will happen, eventually, to someone.  Your irrational human mind focuses on the outliers and ignores all the times you got normal or even good dice outcomes.  If you stored all the dice rolls you ever had and did a statistical analysis you would see results very close to the theoretical probabilities.

It's just a game for fun for cristsakes. Have you ever had sex with anything not made of rubber that requires inflating?
