TStShellListView, Win NT, neFolderUpdate notifications, BCB 5

On Win NT I'm using the above component and it is getting regular
neFolderUpdate notifications.

The problem is that this causes it to refresh without then restoring
it's position and selected items (when multiple items are selected).

Why it's getting neFolderUpdate notificatgions is beyond me - nothing is
happening on the PC and Windows explorer isn't behaving in this way.

Any ideas?
