We now have FF being used at several sites. Many are reporting (and we have
had this at our own site) "File is Locked". I get this message when the
table is first opened. I allow now the user to try again after getting this
message, and then it opens the table ok. We are using 2.5 seconds as a
timeout value, all clients are on a 100base network.
We have gotten this message even on a table that is never written to.
We are using D6, FF2.11. We are using encrypted tables.
What can be causing this message?

Yes 2.5 seconds would be slow for some SQL statements, on SQL statements we
are using 10 minutes.
What can be causing the "File is Locked" message?
