Supported SQL statements and limited results in a result set

sorry if the following question is a rtfm-question.

Can I find somewhere which SQL statement are supported by Flash Filer?

I have the following problem: I want to know the structure of a result
set (field names and data types). So I don't need the records to be
loaded into memory. I found a definition of the SELECT statement with
a LIMIT clause. This is exately what I need, but it looks like it is
not supported. Has anybody other idears on how to tackle this problem?
