I'd like to see some stress/speed tests and demos to get a good feel for
what FF is capable of doing. I'm more interested in embedded, threading,
encryption and blob storage ability than anything else. Eivind mentions a
smptest that he uses to evaluation FF and other DB's that I would be
interested in seeing. If anyone can point me to a website that would be
appreciated --- thanks.

There are many features that FF has that I like very much: transactions, C/S
and embeddable architecture, encryption support, widestring support,
improving SQL support, data integrity, ability to handle large number of
users, etc.

Here are some things that I don't like, some are bigger deals than others:
awkward to use in embedded mode (odd dependencies in terms of property
setting ordering), no built-in lock retry mechanism (AFAIK), no single file
database capability, table lock granularity, reputation for having locking
difficulties in multi-threaded SQL based apps.

Comments are appreciated.
