TurboGears's support for OAuth

Hi All,

I am trying Orkut development with TurboGears backend. It uses OAuth
for authentication, which is quite a new topic to me.

Would like to know whether there is any support for OAuth in TG 1.0,
and some suggestions and references. Do we need the framework to
support it, or I can just install http://code.google.com/p/oauth/ and
code my application? If it is too difficult using 1.0, but convenient
with 2.0, I might have to migrate my existing application to 2.0
first.

Seeking for some direction.

That will eventually be possible through repoze.what, but personally that's a
low priority:

Thanks for the input. One specific question:

For implementing OAuth in my TG1 application, do I need to write some
system level code such as CherryPy filter etc., or just coding things
in my controller methods should do?

I'm sorry, but I don't know much about TG1.

Regarding that wiki page, I think its title should corrected because OAuth
handles authorization, not authentication.

Hi Gustavo - thanks for pointing out. I could not find out how to
rename a page and whether I am authorized. Will someone do it.

On a second note, curious to know what is the difference between
authorization and authentication. Any beginner reference will help.
