Installation fails on WinXP (Python 2.5, TG 1.0.4.4)

I started couple of time clean, that is, installing fresh Python25 and
then running tgsetup.py and every time I get warning re simplejson
1.8.1:

WARNING: The C extension could not be compiled, speedups are not
enabled.
Below is the output showing how the compilation failed:
Python was built with Visual Studio 2003;
extensions must be built with a compiler that can generate compatible
binaries.

I went through some old discussions and saw few posts related to other
packages, but they were somewhat over my head (as the c is...).

Perhaps I should try an older version of TG?

no this is the simple json project which released yet another version
without releasing a binary package... and you get compilation
errors...

I'll compile it myself and upload it to our servers... for the moment
you could grab an older release of simplejson from this page and
easy_install it yourself:

done... you can use simplejson 1.8.1 on windows now...
