Hello Everyone.

Just a quick email asking a couple of things.

how many (and by which names) mercurial repositories we need to start?
this currently needs to be done with the CLI they will be served from
http://gsoc.turbogears.org/hg this part of the site will be improved a
lot after Alexandru's project matures a little.

I'll like to have 3 trac instances at http://gsoc.turbogears.org/trac,
One for each project/student they will be at
http://gsoc.turbogears.org/trac so I need a name for each one. I think
they should be http://gsoc.turbogears.org/trac/geos
http://gsoc.turbogears.org/trac/builbot
http://gsoc.turbogears.org/trac/mercurial is that ok?

How about http://gsoc.turbogears.org/blog? will any of you be
interested in maintaining a blog with progress for GSOC? I have a
controller for zine (http://zine.pocoo.org/) which we can install but
if it's going to be empty why bother :)

If anyone is interested in some CSS work be my guest :)

is there anything else you will want the site to have?

PS: the site is currently running on codemill
(http://tgext.maetico.com/hg/codemill) for those of you that don't
know what it is. It's my pet project for running several wsgi app
behind TG to provide a decent coding environment out of the box.

In the beginning I will only need one repository.

I will use the wiki that comes with Trac. If I will feel the need to
use a blog, I will tell you.

For the moment it seems to cover most of my needs.

Maybe we should think at some guidelines to describe conventions that
we are going to use during the development period. This should be a
good starting point for a more general development guideline document.

http://gsoc.turbogears.org/trac/builbot is fine for me. I don't have
any plans on maintaining a blog.

Hi Jorge,

Although tgext.geo is hosted as part of tgtools at googlecode, this
may be the right time to move it to mercurial. So it would be great to
have http://gsoc.turbogears.org/hg/geo . After soc it could be moved
to our new tg2 infrastructure.

I also like the idea of submitting the progress reports as blog posts.
They could be aggregated at planet.turbogears.org too.

regards
Sanjiv

ok thanks for your feedback.

I have created the first stage of our setup, you should find several
repositories at, each repo is owned by a student and his mentor has
push access.
http://gsoc.turbogears.org/hg/

please let me know if/when you need additional repos. Sadly this is
not web accessible with the current codebase :)

I'll work on the trac instances next. And I'll add the blog anyway
it's not required but you should post there if you want to :)

For the people that haven't register yet, your usernames should be
'sanjiv', 'mramm', 'percious' that is in order for the permissions to
work.
