Buildbot Progress Report

Chris asked me to copy the progress report I sent him to this list.

What's done:

• Wrote a buildbot build master basically from scratch that works for TG2 and TG2.1 on unix based operating systems (what last year's student worked on all of last summer).  You can see the buildbot at http://sikul.dynalias.com:8010/waterfall
  
• Created auto install scripts for build slaves that require only OS specific packages to be installed manually and then it takes care of the rest.
  
• Started work on a website which features:
• User can create slaves to donate to the buildbot.  They fill in a form and the website displays custom instructions for their buildbot.
  
• Admins can assign slaves to builders and the website configures the build master.
  

What needs to be done:

• Finish website by adding features:
• Users can upload completely new builders and new versions of existing builders.
  
• Admins can activate/deactivate builders and upgrade to new versions of builders.
  
• Users can activate/deactivate and remove their slaves.
• Get TG builders running on Snakebite (http://www.snakebite.org/)
