Recently I have been trying to figure out if there is something better
than trac that we can do for tickets. And well they are a lot of
alternatives out there. I want to know if you guys think it will be
nice to try out a different system, if so which one?
At pycon I saw a lightning talk by Douglas Mayle, about DVDer. Alex
and I have talk a little about this and it's a root of something that
together with part of his GSOC could be transformed into an awesome
development environment. That said I was wondering if anyone will be
interested in trying out his ticketing system, here is the first
announment http://groups.google.com/group/dvdev/browse_thread/thread/645172612d70ff7d
I'm not saying we should replace 100% of trac. I still think it's wiki
and code browser are among the best out there. But the tickets are a
little troublesome specially from a developers point of view (I want
to edit my tickets in vi!)
