Hey there,

for some time now I have been unable to use Tunnelblick bc it gets stuck at the authorization stage (see attached screenshot). The log shows the following error message:

2019-11-04 21:34:24.524221 VERIFY ERROR: depth=3, error=self signed certificate in certificate chain: C=DE, O=T-Systems Enterprise Services GmbH, OU=T-Systems Trust Center, CN=T-TeleSec GlobalRoot Class 2

2019-11-04 21:34:24.524452 OpenSSL: error:14090086:SSL routines:ssl3_get_server_certificate:certificate verify failed

2019-11-04 21:34:24.524475 TLS_ERROR: BIO read tls_read_plaintext error

2019-11-04 21:34:24.524491 TLS Error: TLS object -> incoming plaintext read error

2019-11-04 21:34:24.524504 TLS Error: TLS handshake failed

Can someone help me with this? I have no idea what's going on or how to fix it. Thx in advance

There is something wrong with one or more of your security certificates. The most likely cause of this (especially if they worked in the past) is that they have expired.

You need to contact your VPN service provider. That is the organization which gave you your configuration files, and perhaps a username and password, and to which you are probably paying a fee for VPN service. For more information, please see Getting VPN Service (https://tunnelblick.net/cGettingVPNService.html).
