Big Sur - Install error

Hi, 

I am trying to install TunnelBlick on my Mac Air 2018 with Big Sur, but I am getting this: The installation or repair took too long or failed. Try again?

I have tried both with the latest stable and beta versions, but still getting the same error.

I did use TunnelBlick several years ago, but I removed that old version long ago. I wonder if some configuration files are still here and conflicting: I tried looking for .conf' and '.ovpn' files, without success.

During the installation I get this message: I tried clicking both Ignore & Convert, without success.

are weird. The ~/Library/openvpn folder has not been used for many years, and Tunnelblick is attempting to move the contents of the folder to the location that is used in modern versions of Tunnelblick.  The only files that should be in ~/Library/openvpn are OpenVPN configuration files. But there's an image file there: hyvpn.png. That's apparently messing things up.

I suggest you rename ~/Library/openvpn to, say ~/Library/openvpnXXXX, or just delete it, and try again.

The "openvpn" folder is in ~/Library, that is, /Users/heinikoskinen/Library, not /Library.

Are you sure? It is a "hidden" folder. In Finder, to show hidden files and folders you can hold down the "shift" and "command" keys, and press and release the period key (".") to see it.

(Repeating shift-command-period will stop Finder from displaying the hidden file. It toggles the view to hide or show hidden files and folders.)

This worked! It was indeed "hidden", and now I found the old ~/Library/openvpn folder and deleting it solved the problem and now the installation worked. Thank you so much!
