Enabling VPN connection causes Apple Sidecar to throw error 32002

Sidecar works properly before Tunnelblick is enable. When you enable a VPN connection, the connection with the iPad breaks and an error 32002 gets thrown from Sidecar. Similar issue with another VPN client here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250713430.
