Failure to update Tunnelblick on macOS SIerra (an error occurred while extracting the archive)

Older versions of Tunnelblick fail when trying to update to the latest versions when running on macOS Sierra:

If this happens to you, please download the latest Tunnelblick version (stable or beta) directly from the Tunnelblick Downloads page and install it by double-clicking (as usual). That will update your copy and keep all of your configurations and settings.

You do not need to uninstall Tunnelblick (if you do, you will lose your configurations and settings.)

This problem has been fixed by changes to the website as of the release of Tunnelblick 3.6.10 and 3.7.0beta01 on 2016-01-16.
