cant convert to tunnelblick from openvpn config

I cant convert to tunnelblick config.it shown TUNNELBLICK VPN CONFIGURATION INSTALLATION ERROR...i currently use OS X 1.8.2.. Pls help me..i new user of mac..i urgent want to use..tq

As the rest of the error message said, you need to look in the Console Log to find out why.

I will email (to you privately) a link to a pre-release version of Tunnelblick that may make finding the problem easier. (I don't want the link posted publicly.)

I have the same problem, it turn out the convert process failed to locate both certificate and key file listed on opvn file, it had to be absolutely path.
ca "myca.crt"  won't work

but
ca "/user/myname/Application Share/Tunnelblick/Configuration/xxx/myca.crt"  work

Thanks for your report, but I can't reproduce the problem (using Tunnelblick 3.4beta16).

My config file has

 

ca "myca.crt"

and a file named myca.crt is in the same folder as the config file (both are in the folder /Users/MY_NAME/Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configuration/FOO).

If the config file is in the ...Tunnelblick/Configurations folder, and the myca.crt is in Tunnelblick/Configurations/KEYS subfolder, for example, you should have

ca "KEYS/myca.crt"

in the configuration file.

What version of Tunnelblick are you using? Can you describe the path to the configuration file?

Hi

I have 3.4 beta16 installed,
 

my ovpn file was sitting on

/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configuration

myvpn.ovpn

both my key and certificate files were sitting under
/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configuration/myvpn

on myvpn.ovpn

I have

ca   "myvpn/ca.crt"

key "myvpn/myvpn.key"

cert "myvpn/myvpn.crt"

I even moved the ovpn file into myvpn folder and changed path as below

ca   "ca.crt"

key "myvpn.key"

cert "myvpn.crt"

none of the method work, until I added the full path like below on ovpn file

ca   "/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configuration/myvpn/ca.crt"

key "/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configuration/myvpn/myvpn.key"

cert "/Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configuration/myvpn/myvpn.crt"
