Tunnelblick not working on macOS 11.7.10 - Requires macOS 13.0 or later

  I'm trying to run Tunnelblick on my MacBook running macOS 11.7.10 (Big Sur), but when I launch the app, I get the following error message:

Unable to use this version of the application "Tunnelblick" with this version of macOS.

You have macOS 11.7.10. The application requires macOS 13.0 or later.

 It seems like the version I downloaded is not compatible with my macOS. What are my options to get Tunnelblick working on macOS 11?

Download and install an earlier version of Tunnelblick from our Deprecated Downloads page.

For Big Sur, use Tunnelblick 3.8.8e.

When you install by double-clicking a different version of Tunnelblick, all existing configurations and settings (preferences) will be kept intact.
