Tunnelblick won't connect

As you can probably deduce from the title of this post, I'm not
technically-minded. I'm running a MacBook Pro, Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I
installed Tunnelblick only 7 days or so ago, so it is the latest
version. When I click on the Tunnel icon in the menu bar, I get a drop-
down menu with 6 options: "Connect Blackhole", "Connect openvpn-DE", "-
NL", "-Swe", "-UK", and "-us". I have used all of these successfully
over the last week, but now none are connecting - I am getting the
flashing tunnel icon, but no connection is made. I have restarted the
computer, tunnelblick etc, with no result. Any help is much
appreciated.

Thanks for supplying the complete log.

The problem is that your computer is not able to communicate with the VPN server at all. It's initial attempt to contact the VPN server for a "handshake" is never answered by the VPN server.

Usually that is because of a "firewall", or a special filter that has been put in place between your computer and the VPN server. For example, the "great firewall of China" filters everything that goes to and from the Internet from any computer in China.

It is sometimes caused by a mis-configuration of a network, or of some piece of equipment between your computer and the VPN server, but that is more rare.

In any case, Tunnelblick can't do much about it. You need to contact tech support for the VPN that you are using -- the people that told you to download Tunnelblick. Sometimes that is just your employer, but in your case it looks like you are using a "VPN service provider". You are probably paying them a monthly fee for the VPN service. If it isn't working, they may be able to help.
