I have tried installing Tunnelblick 3.6.6beta02 and the installation went well, until the page where im trying to add a VPN configuration.

After i have clicked on "I have configuration files" the window changes to this.

When i go to the application this is what it shows, and i tried entering admin mode.

its still the same, i am unable to create a VPN configuration.

here are my system configuration, i hope this gives a clue as to what is wrong.

When you say you are "unable to create a Tunnelblick VPN Configuration", do you mean you are unable to install one you have created? (If so, how are you trying to install it and what happens when you try?)

If you mean you don't know how to create a Tunnelblick VPN Configuration, see Setting Up and Installing Configurations.

NOTE: "Admin mode" is not what you think it is -- it is not a special mode that does "admin" operations. Tunnelblick needs authorization from you (your login username/password) to perform some operations (such as securing a configuration, renaming a configuration, etc.). "Admin mode" is a way to temporarily (for five minutes) provide that authorization for situations where you are doing a series of operations, so you don't have to enter your username/password separately for each operation.

I am following the instructions on this websiet; http://www.vpngate.net/en/howto_openvpn.aspx#mac
and i have downloaded the .ovpn files i will be using, but i cant seem to drag and paste it into the application itself as the fields are dimmed out and i cant add a VPN configuration on the application itself

The VPNGate instructions are not very up-to-date, and involve unnecessary steps. (And you don't seem to be following them anyway: they don't say to drag and paste the .ovpn files

Once you have downloaded a connection setting file (.ovpn file), you can install it as follows:
  1. Launch Tunnelblick, so it is running and its icon shows in the menu bar.
  2. Drag/drop the .ovpn file(s) to the Tunnelblick icon in the menu bar. (To install multiple files, select all of them and then drag/drop all of them at once onto the icon.)
  3. Respond to Tunnelblick's question about making the configuration private or shared with all users of the computer.
  4. Enter your computer username/password to authorize Tunnelblick to install the configuration.
A Tunnelblick VPN Configuration will be created from the .ovpn file and installed into Tunnelblick. You can discard the .ovpn file.

Its works well now. I made the mistake of dragging it to the open application window instead of the icon in the menu. Thanks for the clarification.
