Hi,
I am new to OpenVPN and Tunnal blick. I am trying to only create a tun or tap interface on Mac OS Big Sur.

I tried this totrial (https://backreference.org/2010/03/26/tuntap-interface-tutorial/ ) but it is not working.
Also, i have tried multiple conflagrations, non of them seems to work.

I am having a hard time  to create the configuration files (conf.opvpn).

Can you explain what you are trying to do?

Are you really only trying to create a tun/tap interface on macOS Big Sur (which is your headline)?

Or are you trying to connect to an existing OpenVPN server? Or are you trying to create a VPN (both server and client)?

Yes I am only trying  to only create an virtual interface as we can do on Linux.

For example, if create a interface named tap34
When you write ifconfig command on MacOS terminal --> one of the interfaces will be tap34

Could we do a simple configuration on the server using Tunnelblick to open a tap or a tun interface?

I need the simplest congregation to create a virtual  interface on MacOS
I am not interested in providing the security  or privacy aspects in the configuration .
