SECURITY UPDATE: Tunnelblick 9.0beta01 is now available for download.
        
Changes from 8.1beta03 to 9.0beta01 (SECURITY UPDATE)

• Includes OpenVPN 2.6.17 and 2.5.9 and removes 2.4.12.
  
• Includes OpenSSL 3.5.5, 3.0.19, and 1.1.1w.
  
• Improves security of the update process and of Tunnelblick and OpenVPN log files.
  
• Speeds up the launch of Tunnelblick.
  
• Improves warnings about deprecated or removed OpenVPN options.
  
• Removes the 'old' way of updating configurations.
  
• Adds a checkbox to enable/disable showing 'Connect' and 'Disconnect' with configuration names on the Tunnelblick menu, improving keyboard selection of a configuration to connect.
  
• Enhances the appearance of the Tunnelblick icon, including the ability to have the icon display a green indicator when one or more configurations is connected. (Optional, controlled on the "Appearance" panel of the "VPN Details" window.)
  
• Right-click or control-click on the Tunnelblick icon connects or disconnects the first (or only) configuration.
  
• Option-click on the Tunnelblick icon opens the "VPN Details" window.
  
• Improvements to look of many windows.
  
• Relabels "Non-Tunnelblick" copies of OpenVPN to "Imported".
  
• Disables "Security code autofill" in Tunnelblick on macOS 26 "Tahoe" except on the VPN login window.
  
• Increases resistance to attacks by malicious OpenVPN servers and programs running locally.
  
• Removes superfluous scripts from the program.
  
• Updates localization.
  
• Fixes several problems when installing or updating.
  
• Fixes a problem renaming configurations.

NOTE: Updating to this release from some versions of Tunnelblick may take 60 to 90 seconds.

It may also require an additional authorization from a computer administrator after the update.
