A new validation check that will throw an error if the MySQL binlog-do-db
setting has a value. This setting prevents proper operation of Tungsten
Replicator. The binlog-ignore-db setting will not be checked.

This issue was updated by revision r2375.

Add check for MySQLBinlogDoDbCheck. Returns:
MySQL configuration variable 'Binlog_Do_DB' is set. This setting prevents

proper operation of Tungsten Replicator.

When show slave status output includes Binlog_Do_DB

Can you, please, describe "Why the world will be a better place with this
feature?". Setting 'binlog_do_db' is the only way, if you have only one
database to replicate, but you have a lot of DBs that doesn't need
replication.

Hi,
you would use the tpm configuration options:

--repl-svc-extractor-filters=replicate
--property=replicator.filter.replicate.do=test.*

To achieve this.

But that means that mysql server will create binlogs for all databases, is
there any way to avoid wasting PC resources on that?

You can skip this check using "--skip-validation-check=
MySQLBinlogDoDbCheck"
That would not trigger the feature described in this issue, and you will be
on your own.
This check is enabled by default because otherwise a slave created using
partial replication will not be able to become a master in case of need.
Note also that, if you want to use binlog_do_db, you also need to include
the schemas that Tungsten uses for its own purposes.
