December 2013

Greetings BandLab Beta Testers...

and to those waiting to become Beta Testers

It's 2014, and JamHub would like to send out a huge Thank You to everyone who's signed up to be a Beta tester for BandLab. So far we've only been able to grant a few of you access, but we've learned a lot and we appreciate the input we've gotten from the everyone about BandLab's features and user experience.

In late 2013, we took that feedback and started rebuilding our user interface from the ground up. What's coming together is incredible and we have you to thank for the ideas and the inspiration to make something incredible.

For those of you who haven't had a crack at BandLab just yet, your patience will be rewarded. We've been adding features and making changes that we think everyone will love, including a complete redesign of the interface for faster, easier recording and sharing of your ideas across all your devices.

Starting soon, we'll be rolling in more users and putting the pedal down to get another wave of musicians hammering on the system.  Watch your email for updates in January 2014.

BandLab will be a great place for musicians to store ideas, create songs, share them with bandmates and collaborate.  This is no online DAW, it's a new way to get music done.

We've decided that for all BandLab founding members, storage will be free ... forever.

That's right, in 2014, when you sign up to BandLab you'll never have to pay a dime for storage.  Our long-term goal is to keep storage free for all users, but if you and your band join BandLab in 2014, you will be classified as a "founding member" and guaranteed free storage forever.  If we ever have to charge for storage for large accounts, founding members will be exempt from any charges no matter how big your account gets.  It's our way of saying "thank you" for helping us to build a great platform for music creation and discovery.

Soon we'll start sharing the new look and feel of BandLab, and we're confident you'll agree that it was worth the wait. We are very excited to open it up to the next wave of users.

Thanks for your continued patience and support.  2013 was a great year for us and 2014 is going to be even better with more users, more features, and more music. Stay tuned, it's going to be great.

Sounds like they're in a similar boat to us and trying to get the thing developed.. Interestingly they also have "patents pending" so they feel they have a patentable idea.. Once we finalise all our ideas we should also look at possibly patenting if necessary as soon as possible.  We need to put the pedal down too and finish what we're doing soon.. Let's not slow down now that we're so close.
