I recorded a 1.75hr meeting yesterday (5/5) and after I ended the meeting the conversion status box popped up and tracked the conversion of the recording all the way up to the 100% mark, but then nothing has happened since then. Typically the audio and video file open up in another downloaded file folder and I can drag and drop the files to where I need them on my internal network. I haven't clicked the "Stop Converting" button because I'm afraid I'll lose everything. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?
If you are still facing issues with the recording conversion process, as this component is out of the scope of Zoom Marketplace(which is this forum for), please contact Zoom support at -us/articles/201362003 and one of the Zoom experts will be happy to assist you.
I recently updated my software on Mac to Monterey 12.0.1. I had a Zoom meeting earlier today that I recorded and it did not convert. When I tried to convert it, it said I needed to give Zoom permission in System Preferences> Security and Privacy. When I went to the Files and Folder option, Zoom is no longer there and the + button is grayed out so I cannot add Zoom to my list of apps that I allow permission to access my files and folders. Does anyone know how to fix this? I wanted to get this meeting transcribed ASAP. I also have a Zoom wedding tomorrow which I do not want to mess up.
Hey @tlb1414, did you try testing this while not in a meeting or attempt to close the Zoom client and try? Also to make changes. you would need to click on the lock and unlock to make any changes.
I can see you know a bit about the settings for Mac. Can you please assist me also.... I have a Mac with system BIG SIR and trying to turn on my Zoom security & Privacy in settings, just want to turn on (gray) to convert my latest meeting recordings! Assessment is due tomorrow and need to assess them for evidence. Can you help... screen shots. thanks Tori
Hello, I need help to figure out how to convert my .webex meeting recording to .mp4. I shut down my computer right after ending the meeting so the conversion did not take place and now I cannot access the content of my recording.
I have enough room on my computer, but cannot convert the recording from a meeting I had today. I get a message saying "Failed to Convert Recording." I have 2.63 GB of space remaining on my computer. The Zoom call is 1.21 GB. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro.
I'd suggest making additional space available on your machine and restarting the conversion process. The recording file that Zoom creates during the meeting requires additional processing while creating the final recording files, and could require some significant additional storage.
The path listed within the Store my recordings at field is where your local recordings are saved.
Note: If the path listed is not physically located on your device where you perform the local recording at (for example your network drive), it will cause quality issues with your recording.
Note: For versions 4.6.10 or higher, you can't convert local recording files by double-clicking the Zoom files. You must follow the steps below to convert the files. If you're issues converting a local recording, see our troubleshooting suggestions.
Note: You can remove items from this list, which will not remove the actual local recording files on your system. As a result, this recording list may not show all your local recordings.
Does Audacity give me the option to process a voice recording and convert it into ultrasound?? will I be needing special equipment?? if I found a way to convert the voice recording into ultrasound, how should I play the file?? will standard headphones do the job??
I use the Video Converter Ultimate 6 to convert the Adobe Connect recording that is downloaded as one single FLV file. I convert that to M-PEG 4 Audio file. You can batch convert files. I then can play just the audio in iTunes. These can then be sent to any iPod/iPhone/iPad for playback.
I'm not looking to send/receive a fax via a modem, but just to "replay" the communications tones and parse out the fax message. I understand there are duplex issues and not knowing which end of the conversation is sending what.
This tool is part of the SpanDSP library from soft-switch project. You can download it from -switch.org/downloads/spandsp/ and configure it with --enable-tests. Source code is in tests/fax_decode.c file.
Note that the fax transmission is not so-much a transmission, as a 2-way communication. Thus, you cannot simply play this audio back into a fax machine and expect it to work. However, luckily, the fax image data transmission itself is uninterrupted, so it is possible to filter out the unnecessary data.
I dont know about using a program to do that, but you could always play the sound through your modem to a fax machine and print them out that way. assuming it plays correctly, you wouldnt need to worry about the two machines playing nice and getting an error because the bits that were identifiers wouldnt be heard by your machine while its transmitting. but this is all speculation to the highest degree.
Building on what Jasen said, you could set up your linux box to accept faxes, and then play that sound over the lines going to the computer. If your recording involves the ring tones sent over, it should work.
I recorded a meeting that had 3 sessions. I hit stop/start in between the sessions and ended up with only the last session recorded. Did i need to select pause instead as stop might have recorded over the prior recording(s)? Also, however, i was left with a very large click_to_convert file that cannot be converted by RC. Can i convert this .meetingrec file manually and potentially get my prior 2 recorded sessions back?
You should get an error as Zoom doesn't recognise the extension, then change your file's extension from .meetingrec to .zoom, for files 01 and 02, double click on file 01. The conversion tool will pop up and start the file conversion.
In the first drop-down box under the Create a Video heading, select the video quality you want, which pertains to the resolution of the finished video. The higher the video quality, the larger the file size. (You may want to test them to determine which one meets your needs.)
The default time spent on each slide is 5 seconds. You can change that timing in the Seconds to spend on each slide box. To the right of the box, select the up arrow to increase the duration, or select the down arrow to decrease the duration.
You can track the progress of the video creation by looking at the status bar at the bottom of your screen. The video creation process can take up to several hours depending on the length of the video and the complexity of the presentation.
When you want to give a high-fidelity version of your presentation to colleagues or customers (either as an e-mail attachment, published to the web, on a CD or DVD), save it and let it play as a video.
Depending on the content of your presentation, creating a video may take some time. Lengthy presentations and presentations with animations, transitions, and media content will likely take longer to create. Fortunately, you can continue to use PowerPoint while the video is being created
For example, if you inserted the media using PowerPoint 2007, it will be linked and it will play in the presentation. However, when you export the file as a video, the linked media will be dropped. You can convert the file to the new file format (select the File tab, and under Info, select Convert), or you can right-click the media object and then select it to upgrade; it will embed the file and export it correctly.
After you've created the video file, you can upload it to a video-sharing site. Microsoft Stream is an enterprise video service where people in an organization can upload, view, and share videos. Microsoft 365 business or education subscribers have access to this service from within PowerPoint for Microsoft 365.
The upload process can take several minutes, depending on the length of the video. A status bar at the bottom of the PowerPoint window tracks the progress, and PowerPoint shows a message when the upload is finished:
