Helloso basically i was doing my thing until eset decided to send me a pop up telling my trial license was about to expire, but it already expired since a month so i was like wait what?? then after i inspected more the pop up it said my license gonna expire in -17 days which i think is kinda funny of seeing this message appear and no idk how that happened netheir why it did but it did and no it isn't a modified (It in french but it basically says my license gonna expire in -17 days as i said earlier on) here is the pop up i had (Still have it on my screen as i am typing this but will remove it soon)

Your trial version expired 16 days ago and module updates stopped . As a result, real-time protection was disabled. Windows Defender was supposed to re-activate automatically. Malware is running on your computer:

Also i found a way to have infinite trial license on eset, basically you uninstall eset, then remove all resedual file and then re install it and click free trial and use another email and have another 30 days for free without paying, i don't know if a lot of user know that but that what i do since, uhhh i don't know how many time and i was gonna do it for re having a protection again also thanks for telling my i had a trojan applauncher.exe i will look it up

I don't know but i am pretty sure it is also idk how a big av company didn,t saw a bug like this allowing ppl to use it for free every 30 days also no i won't share this method to youtube or anything else since well it isn't really good for eset netheir to have user that abuse of a bug to reset the trial i think they should do a method like kaspersky that makes a registry that kaspersky and other app to uninstall don't detect to prevent trial resseter that easy

Yes it could be a glitch or ESET does this to get more users with their product.

In reality, it is very difficult to know what is happening, since it could be avoided like other products normally do.

I am in the process of looking for a new security product and decided to revisit Eset Internet Security. I installed the trial version and most components seem to be working well, but the one component that made me decide to use Eset vs the others is the Banking and Payment Protection module.

After installing the trial, rebooting, updating and letting it do the initial scan, I wanted to try the Banking and Payment mode. When clicking on the Banking and Payment Protection icon on the main interface, the cursor shows the hourglass and then nothing. No windows or browsers open. I then added my banks website to the protected websites as secured browser, and nothing happens in Chrome, Firefox, Edge when visiting the website.

In Internet Explorer, I get the message "Opening secured browser" and then after a minute or so I get an error "Protected Browser could not be started. Associated error code: 0x847695d2", and asks if I want to continue unsecured.

I activated the pre-release updates, downloaded the updates, rebooted and went to to the website in Firefox and Chrome and just got to the main page of the bank. No secured browser warning or anything, only in Internet Explorer does it ask to switch to secured browser but then fails.

I had seen that support page and did what was described, although I did uninstall Malwarebytes, VoodooShield and Hitman Pro Alert, and rebooted. This time I rebooted twice and did a search of the registry and deleted some keys that remained from the mentioned programs, don't know if the rebooting twice or registry deleting that did the trick, but I was able to get it to work with Internet Explorer and Firefox (Chrome was a no-go).

Unfortunately, Hitman Pro Alert is a must have on my systems as I have paid for it and really trust it. I will trial the rest of Eset Internet Security and if all is fine, I may stay with it and purchase a licence.

I have usually seen this happen when you have a another program that is encrypting keystrokes alongside ESET. Check browsers for add-ons. One of the popular installed programs is Trusteer Rapport. if still having same issue I would recommend uninstall and removal of all remnants in registry before another install.

I did verify the browser's add-ons and I do not think I have any that are encrypting keystrokes, HTTPS Everywhere, LastPass, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin, Xmarks Bookmark Sync and the ones that come with installing Google Drive.

I did try white-listing the process C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Security\eOPPFram.exe but still a no-go for any browser. I disabled every option in the Risk Reduction and Exploit Mitigation section of Hitman Pro Alert and still does not work, neither after reboot or after a shutdown.

As confirmed by the HMP-A developer, Eset OPP is incompatible with it. Your only solution would be to temporarily disable HMP-A if that is possible, then manually open an Eset OPP session. When done with the OPP session, then re-enable HMP-A.

Thanks itman, just what I thought , it's a one or the other type issue. I will continue to trial Eset Internet Security and decide in a couple of weeks if it stays. For the most part, it is light on my system and from what I've read, the protection is top notch.

the program asks for your email so it can activate the trial version. you can use your regular email and you'll be fine.

if you're concerned about security issues, create a new email account just for the trial purposes.

Oh no. I will provide my e-mail address (no email verification is needed).

Assume somebody has bought a product key and activates his installation using my e-mail address (also no email verification asked).

Hello: I've used SS for some years, though I've used an alternative for a few months but decided to go back to ESET. Downloaded & installed OK as trial, (latest version) Bought the full product & got a key - I then went into activate & the key was accepted OK & showed the name of the PC & I clicked done.

I now though have though the info on the home screen - 'You are protected - Your free trial expires in 364 days' This is also at the bottom of the home screen. However under where it gives the last update time next to the picture of a key it says: 'Licence valid until 3/3/17'

The two boxes 'Buy licence & Activate full product are still there, I've tried re-activating & a reinstall to no avail, & SS is updating OK & has the latest definitions so seems to access the servers OK, PC rebooted several times. OK Any ideas?

I tried uninstalling again & reinstalling to no avail, so I tried again using and also used the Eset Uninstaller in Safe Mode & then manually removed all remaining Eset folders & registry entries (including hidden) with the same result & used no trial.. I then restored a full C:\ image I did a few days ago & installed using the full 64 bit SS installer (did not use the trial) which surprisingly gave exactly the same result as in the screenshot. The only thing I can think of is this PC did have Eset SS on back in November when I installed Windows 10 which is when I later used an alternative AV but then had had a full version of SS on for some time - Everything I've tried today & last night has given the same result as in the screenshot. Regards .. Paul

I too have a similar issue after buying a new 1 yr license digital version so just the un activated key supplied , after i entered it in to eset v9 it displayed this trial info of 365 days ?? and there hasn't been a trial license used on this pc any ideas?
