Justrecently updated to Windows Release 1903 (per demand of Microsoft (pushy notice in Notifications). Anyway after the update the Settings App is no longer being skinned by WindowBlinds. I have updated to the most recent version of WindowBlinds 10.82

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Here what I get on my system. Something different on your WB file listing. Maybe certain files did not get updated properly. Please try the purge and reinstall steps : -support-faq#reinstalling

I followed the steps outlined in the forum entry you recommended and had to make some modifications to the batch file to point it to the alternate drive where I store software, but checking the information in the batch file against the outcome of the execution it appears that all of the the previous version of window blinds was removed along with associated registry keys, etc. However, I downloaded the latest version of the WindowBlinds from Stardock and my About page has the same information that yours does in the top two lines, but the other dlls and executables contained are still the same as appear in my original uploaded image in the first message. So at this point I am at a loss to explain what is occurring.

Hmmm. Well I purged and reinstalled on C: from J: my normal software drive as C: has very limited space. Anyway, that seemed to fix it, but the information on the about page is still the same, so I don't know what the issue is with that, but it seems to have fixed the display of the Settings except that apparently it is dependent on each individual theme as I have some default themes that still do not skin Settings correctly. It would be much easier if Stardock just excluded Windows functionary apps such as Settings from skinning, thereby negating this sort of issue.

Could you list down some of Windowblinds theme that not skinning the Settings, preferably, those default themes that come with WB or those of free ones available in Wincustomize.com so I can check on it.

My grandson downloaded a skin for Minecraft Java edition and he wants to use it for the Windows 10 Bedrock edition as well. I found old instructions on Reddit describing how to import a Java skin into the Bedrock edition, but the current interface doesn't match the instructions.

Go to "Profile", "Edit Character" (this will replace the current slotted character skin), then go to the second tab with multiple characters side by side, then below it will say "Owned", open the fly down and you can import a character, on the right there should be "Choose new skin", this skin will not be backed up nor may be able to be seen by users who block custom skins.

Thank you for you prompt reply. They were in different groups and (I hope) tried exactly as suggested (all be it on a Mac) and they windows appear as they were before when placed in place. I may have exploded the groups before hand (which I am suspicious is cause from my dilemma)

Today I was working on a place with 12 PCs and the only reason why I could not move the place from Windows to Ubuntu was that the users did not like how Amsns, Empathy or Emesene themes looked. They ONLY like the theme that uses Windows Live Messenger. Basically the Live Msn as it comes.

So I am looking for a theme that looks exactly like the latest version of Microsoft's Windows Live Messenger. At least in a way that fools the user completely. Amsn has some nice one but they look old and not like the new live msn. Where can I find a theme that looks like the windows live msn.

Another way is if you install Windows Live Messenger with Playonlinux, and the problem gone. If the users prefer the original programs they work with, the Playonlinux is the most comfortable way to migrate exiting windows programs to linux. Mostly works without any problems.

Ok, a new update to the skin for the tens of thousands of people who downloaded the previous version (lol). Fixed some big mistakes I made and everything is skinned now as far as I can see plus the problem of the black borders around the speed dial dialogs who bugged me a lot is resolved. It's very nice now I think and I encourage you to download it and give it a go. Should be a final version or almost now (hopefully).

Anyway the new version is ready. The only change is the file name and internal name so it can coexist with the original standard skin. It now can be (must be?) placed in the Opera/profile/skin directory and will need to be selected within Opera through the Appearance configuration dialog after installation.

Thanks. I consider myself rather geeky but I'm fairly new to Opera and I haven't played around much with its config/prefs. My first inclination was to go to Appearance/Skin to switch skins to the new file but there was no option to do so. Opera kept wanting you to select and download a skin from a wide variety available online. I finally found the standard_skin.zip file in \Program Files\Opera\skin and then it became fairly evident how to do so.

I don't think the standard skin has the power to override elements of any other selected skin. As far as I know it is used only as a fallback for whatever elements that don't exist in an optional skin.

You could probably fix this yourself without much effort I guess simply by deleting the [speed Dial Configuration Dialog Skin] and [speed Dial Global Configuration Dialog Skin] entries in the skin.ini file that is in the root dir of the zip of your affected skins. B)

Google is blocking my pages!.

Google claim my pages have duplicates and I have not selected which should be used.

They state my pages have: 'Duplicate without user-selected canonical'. My pages do not have duplicates on my site, there is only one copy of each page.

The only thing I can think of is that they are detecting normsweb.com & www.normsweb.com and treating that as duplicates although they are the exact same pages. I await a reply from Google.

If you use the 'Revert' skin in windows media player 10 (WMP 10) and then get media player 11 (WMP 11), you will notice that the skin goes transparent when you take the mouse off it. Ok some people may like this new 'feature', but I don't, I like it to stay opaque. There is no (known) official way to make it stay opaque, so I had to figure a way to do it... turns out it was easy...

To make the revert skin opaque all the time, you will need: 'winRAR' decompression software and windows notepad. Goto Program Files, then windows media player, then skins... in the skins folder you should see a file called 'Revert.wmz'

I was thinking of putting my altered version of 'revert.wmz' skin here for download, but as I dont fancy getting sued by Microsoft, I decided against it and you will have to modify it yourselfs unfortunately...

There is another way to fix the revert skin. just copy the old revert skin from the old version of wmp and paste it into the new version. if u want to keep the new 1 then rename the old 1 before u copy and paste. i hav tried ths method and it works. mayb u cn add it to the page.
