Thefresh new look and feel was created with the player in mind - updated and intuitive UX design along with responsive UI will make getting to the game (or wherever you want to go!) easier than ever. Most importantly, the Launcher has new core logic to support bigger and better things in the future of Minecraft.

Best of all, all you need to do to get the new Launcher is restart your current launcher and it will auto update to the latest version. Yes, even I, someone who electrocuted herself while plugging in a toaster, can easily (and painlessly) update to the new Launcher. You can too! Download the Minecraft Launcher today.

I am completing the training for ignition and I just installed the Designer Launcher. However when I tried running the Launcher it gives me the error below. Do I need to install anything else for the designer to work?

When in the Designer Launcher i can see my localhost but when I select them and click open designer I get (Java process launch failed with error code 2: Error: could not find java.dll

Error: Could not find Java SE Run Environment)\

The problem is that we have multiple ignition servers with the client viewers running on about 50 devices at multiple plants in multiple countries. It has created a huge issue as this process has to be done for each device. Please try to find a better solution.

So. I have 64 bit Windows 10 but Technic Launcher lunches only with 32 bit Java. I have this problem only on my new pc . On my old pc (which was 64 bit too) it was working fine. I tried reinstalling Technic Launcher and Java and im lost.

for anyone coming to all these years-old threads looking to fix this problem, what helped me is updating whatever version of java i'm using WITHOUT uninstalling the previous version that technic was recognizing, opening the technic launcher, navigating to launcher options and changing which version of java to use. from here i was able to change my ram from 1gb to 4gb perfectly fine.

i have never had java 32bit installed. for whatever reason the technic launcher ran just fine with my 8.231 version of java 64bit, but upgrading to 8.381 made it unable to run. many people in other threads here and on reddit said to uninstall the previous version and keep the latest version, but the only thing that worked for me was having both versions and just switching which version to use within the technic launcher.

this thread may also be of some help for people experiencing similar problems if you're willing to do registry editing. i did everything in the thread below ncluding changing all the directories and stuff, and then installed both an older version of java 64 and the latest version, and i was able to run tekkit 2 just fine.

Hi looking for some help, I'm not a computer guru and I've been pulling my hair out trying to fix this issue. I changed my internet service provider today and can no longer get the admin console to work on my laptop. Everything worked find before the change with no issues. I can communicate with the agave app and everything works. I can use my laptop with the portal everything works fine. The issue is trying to get the java to install the admin console I get and error message "unable to launch the application". I have searched the forum and this is what I have done so far. Cleared java cache, rebooted ISY, removed and reinstalled java, rebooted laptop, added isy.universal-devices.com to java exception list. Nothing has changed in the setup except the modem and new service provider. I'm ready to give up so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes my router was changed and I'm thinking that has something to do with it. I'm running windows 10. I can't get the UD shortcut to install that starts the IoX launcher to start the admin console if that makes sense. When I click on the start.jnlp file the java window opens then I get the unable to launch error

You need to delete the IoX Launcher from the permanent files in Java under a different tab in the Java setup. Not in front of my computer so I don't know the name. I did post screenshots of this a few weeks ago.

This has recently changed and the temporary files deletion does not do it any more.

Also, please stop posting screen shots as PDFs. You can paste images directly into the post. When viewing the site on a mobile device there's no way to download then view the PDF so posting the image directly in the body of your post is 1000x more helpful.

This is how it should look on the general tab. If not click on "Change". Usually (if Java was installed correctly) you should see a Java option available when you click on "Change" as a selection in this window:

Then, as @larryllix suggested, you might need to forcefully remove IoX Launcher from the Java Cache. To do that, open the Java Control Panel and click View (on the General tab). It will open this window:

Changing the router has ZERO impact on Java not working/opening start.jnlp file to put the IoX Launcher icon on the desktop. It would 100% impact your ability to find the device if it was an old ISY994 that you set to a static IP in your old router DHCP table, but it sounds like the device is able to get on the network since you can control it with mobile apps.

What does this mean? If you can't get the IoX Launcher/IoX Finder to run how is everything working fine with Portal? Do you mean that you can just log into my.isy.io and it appears that your device is online?

Thanks so much this fixed the issue. I did change the "opens with setting" and removed IoX from the java cache viewer. The IoX launcher installed but was still not able to open the admin console. So I checked the ip address of the ISY and I guess the new modem had changed it. Replaced the URL in the launcher with the new ip address and all works. Thanks

Thanks everyone for your assistance and patience my issue has been resolved. @larryllix and @Geddy steps have corrected the problem. I also had to change my URL after I got the launcher installed because the new modem assigned my ISY a new ip address.

I am having the same issue. I have never had 32-bit Java in my life and when I look up what Java version, it still says I have 64-bit, but Technic launcher says I only have 32-bit therefore I only get 1 Gb of ram. Please help!

I tried the above solution, I've checked the command prompt to see if I have any additional instances of Java installed, I've manually scoured through my files to make sure... I definitely only have 64-bit Java installed and yet Technic refuses to recognize it. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
