Realtek Wireless Driver Windows 10

MainlyHP laptops with Realtek wireless network adapters, try to connect to the company network (we have 2 one for setup of a software that helps connect to the main network and means that the user should have no issues connecting after a password change as it should auto update the password. Both of these networks fail to connect

Here is the really strange thing, we probably have around 4000 users that use their laptops/phones etc on WiFi but around 1-2% cannot connect their laptops to the WiFi due to this issue, when you try to connect and during the connection process it disables the network adapter and brings it back online and then states it cannot connect to this network.

it is mostly apparent on Windows 10 Update 1803 but also been experiencing it on windows 8.1. However, we have had some laptops with exactly the same specs and hardware and OS versions that connects fine

Disabling and re-enabling the network adapter, in network settings in control panel, uninstalling the network adapter and reinstalling it in device manager, updating drivers, rolling back to previous versions of drivers, checking for any outstanding windows updates using an ethernet connection.

I am having the same issue with hp laptops. Wifi gets disabled, print spooler stops and audio is disabled. I have updated the bios, firmware and drivers but to no effect. 1803 is playing ball with these hp laptops

The WiFi infrastructure is massive as it is spread about the whole campus, however, the number of people affected is low in comparison to the number of users probably around 1% (not including staff which devices are all bought in large quantities at once.

Thanks for this I will try it tomorrow when back in work we are currently trying to get a spreadsheet together with information on MAC addresses and hardware names as well as driver version and as per Toxic_Potato suggestion, we will also start checking firmware versions as well.

If you have a Live Linux Distro on a USB stick then you could try one of the affected laptops with that. If the fault disappears then you know it is a Windows issue only and if it is still there then maybe a hardware issue such as switch antenna connections. Any Linux Distro will do for the test - preferably a lightweight one so that it responds better seeing as it will be working from the USB stick. It is always good to have a Live Linux Distro in your toolbox for situations such as these.

I will try and see if I can get a device that has the original image available. But I guess the chances of that are slim. Maybe I will get someone that is able to leave a laptop with me to backup and install from an iso but usually these students need their laptops for classes.

The issue may be that there was never offical compatiblity for the TL-WN725N V1 with windows 10. The chipset maker may have made one but TP-Link never confrimed the V1 of this adapter would work with Windows 10. Also it has been seen that each time MS updates Windows 10 there is always a chance current drivers will not work or have issues. In situations like that the Chipset make in this case realtek will have to look at the cause and develop a solution for that chipset. Since we do not give offical support for Windows 10 the best solution would be to check with Realtek if this particualr chipset will recieve an update for the new Windows 10 build.

As the title says I decided to upgrade my wifi card on my HP Pavilion Gaming laptop from a Realtek card to the AX200. I checked to make sure it was compatible and it is. Problem is that I can't get the laptop to recognize the card as a wifi card. Even saw a couple of youtube videos suggesting this card as an upgrade for the same exact laptop.

When I first installed the card I went to the Intel download center and downloaded the wifi driver. Once it finished installing I checked to see if I could connect to wifi, but no networks came up. I checked Device Manager and the wifi adapter was not showing up. Check hidden devices and it wasn't there either.

Next I fully uninstalled the old Realtek drivers (realized there were still some residual files/programs related to it) and attempted to install the drivers again. Still no dice. And this time I checked the Bluetooth section and saw that it did install the Intel Bluetooth drivers. I've already tried several times, but for whatever reason whenever I install the Wifi specific driver it only installs the Intel Bluetooth driver and not the Intel Wifi driver.

Unless you actually installed the Intel Bluetooth driver package, you have the generic Microsoft driver. You need to install the real driver package since the Bluetooth subsystem shares the PHY with the Wireless subsystem.

Hey, appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't work. As a matter a fact I discovered another possible issue. I was able to uninstall the Intel Proset Bluetooth driver from my programs list, but I wasn't able to find anything related to the Intel Proset Wifi driver.

I got curious and checked the program file folders for each. While the Bluetooth folder had a drivers and docs folder the Wifi folder only had the docs folder. I'm not sure why, but I suspect its not installing correctly. I did download the files again in case the one I downloaded before was corrupted somehow, but it still didn't work. I even tried an older version of the driver, but still nothing.

Yea, I've noticed lately that the Bluetooth package remains in the App & Features list but the Wireless package does not. This means Device Manager-based device uninstall is critical (and not automated). Hopefully this will be fixed. Meanwhile, after doing the installs, are you able to use the wireless?

No, still didn't work. I tried again and after doing a system restore again to make sure all the Intel driver were not present my OS started blue screening. Ended up having to reinstall the OS (thankfully not much on that drive so it was relatively painless). I kept the card in the computer, but even after a fresh install of the OS the computer still would not recognize the wifi drivers for the card. Only bluetooth appeared.

I then tested a USB to Ethernet adapter, and it was able to work.

So I narrowed the issue down to the onboard Ethernet driver.

Driver was up to date, so I did the typical uninstall/reinstall, Did not work.

However I knew my Windows 10 machines worked flawlessly.

I just registered to also confirm the issue is real, and happens in HP Gaming laptops as well, with Realtek Gaming Gbpe Ethernet Devices, which Windows 11 seems to force updating in Windows Update using "Realtek - Net - 1.0.0.23 (Driver Update)", then we need to revert back every time to previous driver (the one from HP supports download page which is SP111133 for me at least, owning a HP Pavillion Gaming 16-a0033ns). Hope this helps someone too and that this issue is fixed! It seems this is not happening in Windows 10, so W10 with latest Realtek drivers seems to be working, the issue is only in W11! (so strange btw)...

Windows 11 with the last Realtek Gaming 2.5 Gbpe Ethernet Devices driver is having the problem only with VPN IPSEC, that is working only with vpnssl. Installing the lastest driver for windows 10 fix the problem with IPSEC.
