Is there anyway to get additional information as to what is causing
the rejection? I paid very close attention to the requirements and
made sure they were all followed. How do I get more feedback?

Have you managed to get your theme approved yet as my theme is saying the same thing..!

No. It seems that once you receive that feedback, any updates made are meaningless. I think your best bet is to try and get the theme removed (good luck) and resubmit it with some changes.

The theme submission system is fundamentally flawed and it seems Tumblr doesn't really have any intention of making any changes.

The theme I have been waiting on for a moderator response, http://www.tumblr.com/theme/36058, finally came back today. Mind you I didn't receive an email or any other notice, I just happened to check the theme management page. And, sure enough, the theme was tagged with the "Does not fit accepted Tumblr blog functionality or aesthetics." So now, like the other themes, I can't make any updates or changes to it nor will repeated support requests remove it from the database. Tumblr is just awesome...
