Posting video with embed not work?

We post video post with embed, API server respond nothing and response
code 500.

But text post response like below:

I missed this post (just created a new post asking about the same
problem).

I'm not even getting a response when type="video". My code works for
photo/text though, so I'm curious as to why the server isn't even
responding when type="video" (and I'm setting "embed" to the youtube
video URL, which is the only requirement from what the docs say).

Yes, the server response with nothing, and the response status code is 500, this means a server error.

It's a fact that Tumblr API v2 has a bug when posting a video with
embed code.
However, posting a video with embed code works fine with the old
Tumblr API.
If you need this to work now, you might want to consider falling back
to using the old API for posting videos with embed code and remove
this once Tumblr fixes the bug.

To do this you just need to set the URL to http://www.tumblr.com/api/write
and add the "group" param set to the base-hostname of the blog you
want to post to.
