/posts notes_info uniform across reblogs?

Just a quick question regarding the behavior of the /posts notes_info parameter. It returns the most recent 50 likes and reblogs, which is alright. I've noticed, though, that if I use a post_id and blog_name retrieved to make a second API call for the notes_info on that person's reblog, it returns the same most recent 50 notes as the originating post rather than the notes that that reblog generated. Is this behavior intentional? Additionally, is there a way to call notes_info such that it returns either more than 50 notes or a different 50-note sample from the note pool?
