Hello Chris,
I am a new coder to PHP and I am looking for some user groups in or around Memphis. I saw the list you have on your website and it appears that the ones in Nashville does no have their meetings anymore. I lived in Tulsa a few years back. I thought that I could make some kind of contact with you. Right now I can only do the email thing. Maybe in the future I can try and go to one of your usergroup meetings.  I have only been using PHP for about 6 or 7 months and from time to time I may contact you for pointers. I use a discussion forum PHPFreaks for help and have learned a lot from them. Some times when I post something and don't get a response it is a little hard letting that project go. I am working on some MySQL things. Simple table entries and was going to try and write a small mailing list script that could run through a Cron Job. I have setup the webCalendar 1.2beta because it has a Captcha ability but I can't seem to get the send_reminders.php to send me any reminders. If I could write a small database driven script that would send me reminders so many days before an event happened I would use it on the sites I take care of.This project may take a little time for me to come up with but I got a lot of time after work.

First I am going to write a mailer script or list that is database driven to mail out in groups. I know that there are php mailing list out their but if I could write my own I would learn so much more. Most of my stuff I have now is from the free sites. They are good but sometimes it takes more time to learn how to admin them than if I was to write the code out myself. Anyway let me know if you get this and if you would be willing to start communicating some.
