Hey all,
Amy Knapp from Ning contacted me about an Applications Developer
position they're hiring. They are based in Palo Alto, but they are
accepting remote employees. She's CC'd on this, so if you're
interested, you can contact her directly. Here's the description from
her:
We've been getting a lot of press coverage here at Ning:
Gina Bianchini (our CEO) on CNN:

We're looking to build our Application Development team. These
individuals are responsible for building features and applications for
our millions of users across the world (every Application Developer
works on their own features/apps). They get the best of both worlds,
getting to touch 50% on the UI and some on the back-end related to
scalability, optimization and performance factors which tie into the
success of the UI. We are big and well known in the social networking
world (over 1 million networks with 2.7 billion page views a month),
but our head count is small, we hire well and we expect each person to
make a big impact; we also work in small autonomous teams.
Though we're located in Palo Alto, CA, we're open to remote employees
for this team given the right amount of experience.
